Live 3rd function: At the 3:35 minute mark on the video, does that rocker switch open and close the grapple? If so, what is the kit or part number I need to ask for when I call your parts department? Thanks
Correct it’s to work a grapple or really any attachment you put on the front loader that needs hydraulics. The kit we have installed in this tractor is a live third function kit as opposed to the standard Yanmar OEM kit. I’ll get you a part number.
The IHMT transmission appears to operate similar to the kubota L series hst plus transmission. I’m trying to figure out differences/similarities. Curious if anyone knows the difference off hand?
Sorry for the delay. The Kubota is a just a servo controlled hydro transmission. The Yanmar is I-HMT or as I like to call it a CVT. It utilizes a hydro pump and motor but in conjunction with a planetary setup which as speed increase transitions to more direct(mechanical) power transfer. ie: more efficient. Very similar to the CVT transmissions we use in our larger Massey S series tractors.
I had to pass on this tractor for a Bobcat CT5558. 😢 I honestly liked the Yanmar’s features over the Bobcat. The main reason is the dealer support. Two minute drive one way for the Bobcat vs. a 3 hour drive for Yanmar. I just couldn’t justify the possibility of 12 hours on the road to get my equipment repaired,…as I can perform normal maintenance myself. I really am bummed, because I was dead set on this tractor.
I went ahead and went with this tractor 😅. It was too hard to pass up. It should be here next week sometime. I ordered it with some options and attachments to get started. I’m really looking forward to working with it.
There are a few. Along with the transmission the chassis is a little different and a little heavier on the YM. The loader valve is integrated on the YT vs off the loader mount on the YM. Also it is a different model loader 610 vs 605. Similar lift capacities but no auto detaching loader on the YM. 2 remote valves standard on the YT vs 1 on YM. 3 point is quite a bit different as well with the YM capable of CAT 2 implements. Finally the operator station is significantly different between the two. However yes the transmission is the biggest difference. Let me know if you have other questions.
My good ness I don't know Wich one to purchase😮 The yanmar yt359 or the Kubota L 6060 (with cab loader and backhoe). I have 3 months to decide. Oh boy what to do lol. Any help would be great form everybody😊
I might be biased but go Yanmar and buy from us! That being said I love the features of the YT series. It's more premium vs the L6060 which is more economy. Thanks for watching!
Poly. We get into the metal vs poly hood debate all the time. We sell other models with metal such as the Massey 2800 series if it’s a deal breaker. For what it’s worth I’ve sold 0 replacement hoods for the YT this far.
TC46D. That I own has the cruise set, resume as well as bump up or bump down speed. All of NH CVT has this type of cruise set up. I own 10ea tractors and a couple small machines that the kids and wife run. My machines are 125 hp to 150hp for haying and I prefer power shift transmissions. Brands I current,y own are a new Massey with the Dyna 4 transmission. It’s now my favorite tractor period with the balance of the tractors being New Holland & Case. When I replace equipment over the next three years or so it will be with all AGCO built equipment. I really like the Fendt equipment…
@@genewilliams7497 yes I actually mentioned that CVT tractors are where you see this kind of control. I wasn’t aware of the TC46 but I’m guessing it’s the cross over from the DX45 Case which had this type of cruise but to my knowledge that is no longer available. I worked for Agco from many years so I’m extremely familiar with their equipment. I even spent time in Germany and France at the engineering facilities for both the Fendt and larger Massey’s. I will will agree with you the 5711D is a dang good machine we sell a ton of them.
My wife and I leased a Yt 347 C and we loved it..
Very helpful video
Love these tractors Nick!
Me too!
These tractors are amazing! Thanks for the info.😊
Yes they are. Thanks for watching.
Can you get 540 pto rpm’s at lower engine rpm’s? Just like the ground speed and engine rpm?

Best tractor on the market, hands down. Would love to see a Yanmar YT347 iHMT vs Kubota L4760 HST+ shootout!
We’re pretty big fans ourselves. Hope to do some comps soon.
Very helpful. Does the pto speed control allow you to run at 540 at less than full engine throttle?
No sir it’s still direct drive so adjusting the PTO will change engine speed
Do these tractors have the skidsteer quick attach system on the loader?
They do

I certainly understand how a local dealer can sway one’s decision. Support matters! Thanks for watching.

What are the main differences between the TY and YM besides the transmission?

Nice machine. Although New Holland/Case has had that type of cruise control for years at least since 2015. Nothing there
Which model?
