DUDE PLEASE KEEP DOING THESE. Will you film each one? I would love to use this as a sort of accountability thing. Every time I see an upload, I can work on my practice as well, and develop similar routines.
I spent so much time focusing on rhythms that the shreddy stuff has fallen to the side. We shall see how it goes! 10-15 minutes on one thing is a lot more than remembered.
2. Things, 1:Try practicing gentle, one of the things I found when I was learning to shred a couple of years ago was that playing hard is not efficient. 2. playing slow is playing slow. Practice slow and light, but when you’ve nailed the lick/scale and have it absolutely perfect with your eyes closed, just practice fast. They’re two different techniques. Treat them as such. And for synchronicity, don’t look at your hands when you play.
i'd recommend you check anton oprin's lessons. "open lesson with student" or smth like that. absolute beast in technique, best guitarist in the world i'd say. i think you can even join his school, with current ruble cost it's not much of a deal :)
I think it’s going to take some time for myself, but I think the reward is worth it. It’s always been something I’ve admired in different players! That and playing over chords to make transitions sound fluid. You’ve got this!
I have the same goal for 2025… I wanna break all the barriers I have at the moment with alternate picking! Practice the pentatonic shapes not in box shapes but per string.. More linear playing more speed and then hopefully have a few sick shred licks down by the end of the year or maybe even sooner

I hadn’t thought of it in that way before, but that is the plan! 🙏
Yes please
Nice man! Hope you have a great consistency cause thats the key! Best of luck!

I’ll have to give those a try!
The eyes closed is an interesting concept that i’d never really thought of before! I will give it a go!
Thank you!

I’ll check it out! Thank you! 🙏
Same issue with synchronization here. I have similar goals for the year but maybe not so much the ear part, maybe just the music theory

You’ve got this!
So what you mean is not that you’ve always been really good at alternate picking but rather tremolo picking.
Yeah, just spent too much time learning old school death metal I guess… 😎
Think you meant "synchronization", not "syncopation"
Can’t believe I’ve been using the wrong term since college. Thank you! 🤦♂️

The Pentatonic 3-4 note per string stuff is absolutely bonkers. Something I would love to practice as well!
