I appreciate the effort of putting turn signals, though I questioned how visible they would be given how low they are on the bike. The helmet solution is more practical since it puts the lights on the highest point of the rider.

Oh for sure. Sometimes they are too close together and hard to differentiate from the taillight. I’ve also seen some cases where the taillight is red in color, making it even harder to see. The helmet based option is way better.
