Man I love Dan's production but fuck the over tuned vocals are just killing it for me..

yeah that’s pretty normal for this genre. it’s just pretty noticeable in solo in this case
Yeah the artifacts are super aggressive. Not my cup of tea, but kinda works in this mix.
If you're a fan of his production, this is what he always does, you won't notice until they're solo'd. I have the stems for Dayseeker - Sleeptalk, Rory is a great singer, but listening to the dry vocal stems are really not what you'd expect, not to mention how many layers of vocals are insane, soft singing (barely audible) 2 different octaves (many low/many high) - belting vocals, I think it was about 40-50 vocal tracks in total. Combining everything to sit in the mix sounds like a nightmare. When you still have to surgically tune every vocal track and make it serve the song correctly is a crazy talent.

Does Dan have his own presets in control hub? I haven’t noticed if they are in there.
Yeah they just released this pack in the last few weeks. If you have the subscription version try checking for an update
weird artefacts/distortion on the vocals. Is it from hardware? Anyways, it somehow works in the mix and it's not noticeable
What’s the weird effect on the voice that makes it sound phasey/robotic? Specifically on the words “Inside” “no one”. I thought maybe it was post fx but you hear it on the dry take as well.

However, can this plugin be used as the main and only plugin on a vocal bus?
I currently have 5-8 waves plugins as my vocal chain on my vocal bus can this replace that?
Also, can this be used on individual stereo instrument tracks to enhance or reduce frequency?
Last but not least can this be used in the mastering session as a single plugin ? On my master bus I have about three or four plugins get that nice loud smooth sound
I would say yes. It’s like a channel strip , there’s comp,eq,saturation,effects on it with (outboard gear that they have used to make their presets.) and yes you can use it in instruments as well in you master/mix bus.
