My late Mom had a couple of those plastic purses and a lot of our house built in 1958 had those square dish ceiling fixtures in all bedrooms with a starburst pattern. I loved this vid. (This is Tom, not Sandra.) What a great collection of Mid-Century collectibles!!!! ( I love the 50's and 60's the best, anyway. ) Thank you Mam for such a great tour of your home. I loved every aspect of your tour. I hope you have collected some more great 50's and 60's collectibles since then. It was really great to see all of those MINT CONDITIONED pieces from America's Mid-Century!! I really miss those days. (I, myself, was born in the late 1950's.) I hope they have a sprinkler system in that house, because I hope to God that place never experiences a house fire! Beautiful collection! Love that dual purpose boomerang coffee table. I have a handful of cool mid century pieces here and there. My wife isn’t a huge fan of MCM. But she lets me have a few things. I sneak things home occasionally and do surprise her. Some of the pieces are actually growing on her! Haha! Hoping to subtly convert her one small piece at a time.
Wow. Very cool lamp collection. The transforming boomerang bar is amazing. The rest is a little much for me, esp. with the nausea-inducing camerawork. It’s a fun place, though!

I have a friend who pretty much is exactly the same way when it comes to living in the 50s retro/atomic age style❤..but couldn't do the same to his bathroom due to the contemporary style that came along with the apartment he rented. For me..give me an old 1940s or 50s bathroom...and leave the decor to me. Lol. I don't know...contemporary styles are just not for me! Lol.
Yes you are lucky that your husband loves the same things! I would love to have just any pole lamp like you have. I think that blue one was my favorite. I loved your dress too. In the late sixties and seventies, I loved those sundresses. I wore them to work but had to wear a short white jacket over them. Amazing how things have changed. In the seventies women were allowed to wear pant suits but the top must be long over the butt and matching. Now we have trans walking around in front of children with parts showing that no one should see.
