I will never forget hearing Robert Smith of The Cure sing this song back in the late 80s. Still my favorite. Truly one of those heart melting un forgetable songs that stays with you.
Just watched: "All The Old Knives" and heard Amanda Bergman sing "Love Song" !! (( wow )) Amanda; your voice is so beautiful, powerful, haunting and rich. So glad I watched this movie tonight and especially to hear "Love Song" right at the end. Chris Pine and Thandie Newton are a good combination for the movie. A twisty turny spy thriller. Worth watching.

I heard this in All The Old Knives and had to find it. It's so beautiful.
I watched All the Old Knives last night on Amazon Prime, I never saw the movie preview or anything...I just randomly picked it because I was bored. It turned out to be a great movie, a little slow at times, and the ending is definitely not what/who/how I expected. Very well written.
And then this song came on in the closing credits...very smooth, mellow, and calm...instant favorite of mine now. 🙂👍

Really annoying and cliched how movies constantly do these slow/serious remakes of songs. However... this one nails it. And very well placed at the end of the movie. As others have said. Haunting, tortured. Very well done. Another cliche: Grabs you by the throat and never let's go from the moment it starts.

And this Amanda Bergman version needs to get more recognition. It's a perfect cover. Re. The Cure's lyrics but 100% her own authentic take/interpretation of it. Perfection, imo!
