Has it been THREE years? I remember when you put it up. They say that time flies when you're having fun. It's been hard work for you, but it's been fun for me to follow your saga, and some day when you're sitting on your patio, sipping your homemade wine and admiring all that you've accomplished, you'll appreciate the good feelings that your achievements can bring. That's the best kind of fun.
Yahoo!!! Congratulations! You guys crack me up, from the sad music montage, to Guy going in flashback, the innuendos, and Kylie's glee at the tent finally coming down. Love it. Hugs from 🇨🇦
I remember when you first put the tent up. That tent sure held up! I'm sure you have a lot of Tent Memories, but I'm also sure you're glad to be living inside! Congratulations!
Kudos to you both for living in a tent for three years! Winters must have been tough! I’m delighted to see you getting yourselves more comfortable in the house that you have renovated with so much hard work and love. I truly admire you both and look forward to continued viewing of this very interesting project. Thanks for sharing it with us. ❤
Congratulations! I totally get it, having lived for years in an old wooden structure (8x12ft) that was slowly rotting into the ground... while we built the "real" house. Every hour spent trying to shore that up was another hour we were not advancing the main build. It was a great day when we were finally able to move into the house, albeit still in the middle of a construction site.🙄
After the milestone moving in to the house, this must be the next big symbolic milestone and relief after three years. Congrats!! (Good that you find a second use of it) Love from Sweden❤
I couldn’t work as hard as you do, sleeping in my cozy bed with my little luxuries of Aircon, diffusers, carpeted flooring, etc. Never mind doing so, camping. You are a better woman than I am, Kylie, for sure I would have complained that tent into shreds, shortly. ☺️
I am an 81 yr old woman who has followed you from the beginning. As I did much of what you are doing when I was young, I admire your work. Take care of yourselves and enjoy. June 9:19
There is a time for everything and now the era of tents is over...🥹...new times come with a blooming patio where you can relax now and then ⛱️ I look forward to seeing what the new life of the tent cloth will be 🤓 Happy weekend from 🇳🇴🥂
I remember it too.. u deserved a medal for surviving that long in a tent 👍🏻 how satisfying seeing it coming down 👏🏻 u will get lots of use out of ur decking area I’m sure 😄
Wow. How time flies!? It felt like attending a funeral... 😢 But, as with a person's life, there's so much good, about it, to celebrate, remember and give new purpose to. Great video. Thanks for taking us along; I'm sure we all, somehow, have a little something to take away, from it...🤗 😏 🤔 Congratulations! I'm ready for what-, wher-, when-, however the next journey unfolds. 😎💞
That tent needs a good sendoff with a cheerful burial! You would not want to breathe in around the moldy thing! Good for the interim! Cheers,Sandy&Andy😊
So happy for your time to take down the tent. I know your happy. The accomplishments you both have made are astronomical. You took it down like a pro. Your plans are coming together so well too. Enjoy your videos.
I'm sad to see the tent come down, although I can appreciate your joy and relief! So happy to hear of the re-purposing plans-that canvas has many lives yet to live!! Well done!
Oh the innuendos! Thanks for allowing us to revisit, and congrats on finally getting the tent down. Great to hear your thoughts in repurposing it too! Regards from Australia. 💚🐈⬛
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉. So happy for you. I also remember when you put it up. The tent would also make a great “garage”, tool storage area, greenhouse, woodworking shop ….. So many possibilities.
love the fact that Guy mentioned a wasp infestation and the next shot is of him heriocly holding the tent open for Kylie to brave said wasps inside the tent
I love the way you always try to reuse materials instead of throwing it away. And of course the choice of (natural) materials, which is not always easy in a country like Portugal. Well done the two of you!
So wonderful that you are far enough along in the renovation to finally move in. The tent had one great life and can be repurposed for a new life. Congratulations on the tent take down.
Time flies, can't believe it's been that long. Does anyone else say goodbye at the end of the video? Just me? Glad you guys took it down, this shows real progress! Can't wait to see you drinking your own wine kicked back on some patio furniture enjoying all that you have accomplished in the past 3 years.
So glad you are indoors.....this winter has been brutal.....i live in the north of Portugal and often thought of you on those cold , wet ,windy nights.
You guys are amazing. Living in a tent for three years must have been a challenge. You are persistent in all that you do. Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching your progress. It’s coming along nicely.
To clean & rid the canvas of mold. You make up a mixture of water & salt (not sure on ratios) but salt should be heavy. You put it on , let dry & brush off.
I remember watching that video on your previous channel! Then I lost you, and found you around 6 months ago again! I'm glad I got back to see you again. Can't even remember the name of your previous channel.
Hurrah! Congratulations! The end of a very long camping holiday. What a great idea to repurpose the tent. I really thought you were going to pitch it, but as always, you are both so thoughtful. It sounds like a wonderful way of continuing to make good use of your resources. I'm always learning from your example. Thank you for sharing your values. Have a great week.
Wow congratulation, you Tend make a gusty in your hearts 😊you have made a very very hard job, I admire you guys, but you are doing together a very nice convention of the house and is looking just amazing!!! ❤
I've been watching your channel since the very beginning. Glad to see you outta there, three years was a stretch for that tent. Too bad you couldn't have had a ceremonial torching of it, it would have been a fitting way to start a new phase of your journey. Here's to moving forward! 🌸
Congratulations!! I can not believe it has been three years, it felt like yesterday that you put it up. Now crack out the champagne. That decking has a beautiful colour wold be nice for you to sand the decking and paint it against the elements. You both are hilarious, 'it was quick to put up' and in the video there you are crawling inside trying to put the poles up ha ha, love it. Have a lovely week end.
Bye bye home tent. Can’t believe it’s been 3 years. I’m sure it was great in Spring and Autumn but Winter and Summer must have been challenging. Onwards!
Congratulations! This is truly a milestorne. II'm so happy for you. And OF COURSE you have future ideas for how to reuse the material. I love you guys!
*Well that is an end of a era of camping out in that tent for 3 years. I am glad parts of it will be upcycled... But wow the colour of the timber on the deck after being covered for all those years. 🙂nz*
Congratulations on the change of address; tent to house. It must be the most significant feeling of progress in your reno. I imagine both the canvas and poles will be useful in many ways, probably in smaller parts. Lol! Smart ideas for reuse! Cut them to the shape of your car windows and use them as sun screens in the hottest parts of summer. No getting in the car and sitting on hot car seats!
I think a static caravan may have been a more comfortable option guys, and when you're done you can sell them again. Was that not on your option list? Following your journey. You're doing a great job. 😊👍💯
Tyler and Todd had to give up living in their tent after a couple of years as well, it was just too difficult in the Canadian winter. I really admire your stamina and fortitude. Tent living is tough.
It’s the end of an era. I can’t believe it’s been three years, I remember when you put it up. Congratulations

I came here to say this knowing in my heart it has already been said.. 🙏
They haven't aged as poorly as the tent haha, they don't seem to have aged at all in three years
Yahoo!!! Congratulations!

Woah! 3 years … I remember when you put it up. What a milestone to see it down.
I remember when you first put the tent up. That tent sure held up! I'm sure you have a lot of Tent Memories, but I'm also sure you're glad to be living inside! Congratulations!
You two make me laugh with your good humour. And congrats on moving out of tent and into your new home, even if not complete, it is a milestone. 🎉
Great news! A Milestone. Congratulations!
The sad tent music was a nice touch. Almost like bagpipes at a funeral. Three years is a long time in a tent.
I remember watching the installation of the deck.....wow, it's been 3 years!. Such a great milestone, well done Kylie and Guy!!

Would be a fabulous place for an octagonal greenhouse!
We have definitely considered that 😀
I can smell the mould from here , having been there and done that and got the badge
So wonderful that you are far enough along in the renovation to finally move in. The tent had one great life and can be repurposed for a new life. Congratulations on the tent take down.

Good bye old friend! You served your purpose ❤

Following your journey. You're doing a great job. 😊👍💯
It was, but quickly discounted for numerous reasons
I think cutting it up to clean it and reuse is a great way forwards 🥰
Tyler and Todd had to give up living in their tent after a couple of years as well, it was just too difficult in the Canadian winter. I really admire your stamina and fortitude. Tent living is tough.
Bravo! New deck-space to enjoy.
I well remember the construction of the deck and the erection of the amazing tent.
Those three years went by too fast. Happy that you have rooms in house for living and sleeping.❤
Love the creative reuse! My love language!
