I was wondering how well this would work sweeping up 1.5” rock out of grass and dirt

Not sure how well it'd pick up rocks from soft surfaces. I could see an angle broom with all poly wafers working better in lawn but it will throw the rocks and not contain them. It'd probably dethatch the lawn as well. Either broom would create a LOT of dust in a gravel environment.
The biggest limiting factor is the weight of the skid steer. It's possible the lawn gets torn up when you turn since it doesn't take much to make ruts in the spring. Maybe a track loader or mini track loader would be okay when the ground isn't as wet. I'd probably lean toward renting a broom and trying it first before committing to a purchase unless there are other potential jobs for it.

@@VirnigMfgInc We have a 289d3 and a customer that wants us to sweep rock out of grass that got deposited during snow removal so it can be mowed and not wreck mower. It’s crushed concrete with basically 2”minus.

@@jacobo565 the Angle Broom would be a better choice, but there's a fine line between sweeping material off the grass and damaging the lawn from too much down pressure. Basically, it can be done but you'd need to be very careful!
