The evil dinozoid hybrid army was doing all this evil destruction to earth and enslaving our children. They did all this for the evil primogen. They were locked away for very good reasons 😔
I finally beat Turok 2 yesterday, after 22 years of trying. I can finally close that chapter of my life. I did it on my Nintendo 64, I didn't want to play the Remaster, it had to be on N64, it was painful, the game is totally broken on 64, but I did it, for honor!.
The very first time I played, I warped between levels with cheating. I couldn't beat the levels 4 and upwards...way too confusing for my childish brain back then.
EvilGames I beated and I did it playing it without knowing nothing of english back then xD (I'm spanish). Funny fact I didn't understand any single thing about the story but it was a funny game with great weapons and a cool exploration. When I discovered you must complete some objectives in order to unlock more worlds and you have to return to some places once you obtain certain objects it was done for me, you just need to explore every single corner in the maps...I think this was the first time in my life I played a «metroid» kind of game. Maybe should I call it Metroidrok?
anyone else finding the animation with the Primagen at 1:04 a bit funny? As it makes it look like he is changing the music in the stage to the boss theme.
It's so funny how in the old games the bosses you are trying to defeat just leave boxes of ammo laying around for you at any given time for any of the most powerful weapons you have

I also remember collecting all the pieces of the special weapon (I think it was called a "nuke") and the freaking thing was useless on the Primagen.
I did it. I beat this game. I don't think I was even able to make it past like the second level back then but I was finally able to beat the game on the remastered version

Enemy health does not matter that much, since you can kill most enemies one shot with certain weapons anyway (+ headshots). I think, for the first try, that time is alright, though it could have been way better.

One of the best and hardest game, I used to play this on n64 with my dad, he stills plays sometimes on steam, he is 62. I still have the n64 cartridge from that time whereas I got another used n64 console a few years ago. Great memories.

With his telepathic power, he controlled the "bad" species (Dinosoids, Purr-Lin etc.) in the Lost Land. Without Primagen there will be no plan anymore for the bad guys. It makes sense that he destroyed the alien.

Yeah he was in a slumber but was awaken when Tal set destroyed the chronoscepter in a volcano.The elders of the lost land knew how dangerous he was so they created the energy totems to keep him locked away,he telepathically communicated with the Dinosoids and the other races to help free him but he would destroy them in the end if he was freed,pretty based lol,Primagen is one of the best antagonist in games Imo and in the comics he is seen as less evil,because he was sad that his home universe and fellow elder brethren race was also destroyed,he just wanted to discover the secrets of the beginning of life.
I find that if you use your map , you are completely fine , and it isn't all that hard . I learned that the hard way not using it almost my whole play through till level 5 and it was easy actually .
For Water Boosting, you jump into the water and double tap and hold forward + jump to get out again. This gives you a nice speed boost, as long as you don't move backwards or sideway only (strafing and standing still is fine). The moment you are jumping out is very important. The speed differs vastly...which made speedrunning even harder than it already is.
I didn't submit my speedruns to them, because those admins for Turok 1 didn't seem to like segmented speedruns. It would be great for reputation though. Gotta try this though.

The weapons in this game are still the best of ALL FPS today.

I was never able to finish this game. Aways got consistantly lost.

It's the original PC version (different from the Remaster available on GOG/Steam/Xbox One). I was using nGlide for rendering in 3840x2160.

Turock 2 was always epic sadly every other that was created after this one was trash in my opinion.
I wish they cleaned up the voice lines at least. Its really hard to understand what these guys are saying most of the time
