They made a second batch of 250 or so cars in 1988 and could not sell them. The VN was released in Oct 1988 and a stock VN 5.0L was close enough to Walky performance without the stupid looks or inflated price. A lot of these extra Walky's remained unsold through 1989/90 and dealers actually resorted to removing the body kits and heavily discounting them just to get rid of them. The SV88 was a much nicer looking car.

Yep could've bought a brand new walky in 2000 it was still in it's original showroom with 50klm on the clock gew to it being serviced and driven around the block with dealer trade plate over the 12 year period never registered mint condition , I was close to buying but already owned 33000k vk grpA and hsv sv89 low k also , reason for not buying I wouldn't had registered it just preserved , plus I'm a big believer of sharings caring I had 2 special cars that's enough for one person, after 7 years I sold my 2 on knocked back a vn grpA and 1973 gtr xu1 both mint low k's .
The walky was valued at the time at $50k everyone thought it was to exspensive lol. Cheers exspensive dreams now.
I'm a Holden man through and through but bloody hell it's ugly. The body kit worked for downforce on the racetrack but still, it's an ugly car. Goes pretty good though
Must have been a piece of shit if they only have 40k on it
