7 Tuck Turns for West Coast Swing

- The tuck turn is a very common pattern for west coast swing. In this video we teach you 7 basic variations of the tuck.
Inside you'll learn the Sugar Tuck, Sugar Tuck from Closed, Passing Tuck, Passing tuck from Closed, Passing Tuck from Closed w/Leaders Right, Tuck Turn with 2 hands, Tuck from handshake hold.
The tuck turn is a simple 6 count pattern. There are to basic tucks, the sugar tuck and the passing tuck. We break down a couple different ways you can lead and follow these basic west coast swing moves.

Do you have another video for the "send away" tuck mentioned at 4:57?
We have more videos on the passing tuck. The one you are looking for is a passing tuck from closed position.
There was another one of your tuck videos where the follower’s footwork count changed to 1 2+3 4 5+6 (as opposed to 1 2 3+4 5+6) Is that a specific tuck pattern that calls for that footwork timing? Or is there another reason why the follower would do that?
GREAT QUESTION! Really you'll see both timings. The 3&4 is the more 'basic' timing but you'll see the &3 timing a lot as it can accent the music if the song has a particular sound. Both of them work and keep the dance flowing. Does that help? If not please let me know and we will pop in and do a video about it! -Brian
