    The Acoustic-Electric might be easier to play than a Standard Acoustic Guitar (in fact it's just as easy to play as an Electric Guitar with easier action & lighter strings) because they usually use Extra Light Gauge Strings/10s (or even lighter like 9s/Ultra Lights) to emulate kinda an Electric Guitar type feel which relieves alot of pressure off the fretting hand.

  • @RockStarOscarStern634
    @RockStarOscarStern634 3 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    Even though Electric Guitars are begginer friendly, the Acoustic-Electric is also fantastic for begginers cause the Electric Guitar feel & Acoustic Guitar resonance combined is super cool. Lots of companies like Dean, Taylor, Martin, there's alot of them had the bright idea of making Acoustic Guitars that feel like Electrics. Ovation's Acoustic-Electric instruments have a bowl back like a Lute made out of plastic.

  • @RockStarOscarStern634
    @RockStarOscarStern634 4 ปีที่แล้ว +44

    The Acoustic-electric has a built in tuner, which seems beginner friendly because it makes the Guitar alot easier to tune.

  • @RockStarOscarStern634
    @RockStarOscarStern634 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Acoustic-Electric is a combination of an Acoustic & an electric Guitar all in one instrument. The Acoustic-electric advantage is that it's much larger in versatility.

    The built in tuner is also great especially for the 12 String Guitar because with that many Strings, the built in tuner will help with tuning it up.

    The Acoustic-electric is strung with really light gauge strings to get the Electric Guitar feel, & yes the lightest gauge of strings on an Acoustic might relieve lots of tension of the top.

    If you’re living with other people in the house, the electric is a life saver since you can play it anytime you want, while other people are studying, sleeping etc. in the room next door. Also, you need many repetitions to play a piece well, and I think other people shouldn’t be subjected to 200 repetitions of your poorly played piece 😂 electric all the way, and with recent developments in technology, that includes the pianos as well 👍🏼 (I’m a pianist)

    It's funny that people who have played for 40 years can't tell they're out of tune. I've played less than a year and I'm in no way what I'd describe as good. To a non guitar player I can make it seem like I know what I'm doing but a pro would spot me immediately. I can't play even a partial barre chord BUT I can tell if my guitar is even slightly out. I can't tune it by ear and once couldn't find my tuner (still haven't actually, I just ordered a new one) and had to get my tutor to drive over and tune it for me. He said it was only out by a bit, and I must have a naturally good ear. It didn't sound a little bit out to me, it sounded awful, I couldn't play it like that. I honestly don't know how anyone could play for that long and NOT develop an ear for it. Unless you taught yourself to play, on an out of tune guitar, never let anyone else play it or hear you play it, never played anyone else's guitar that WAS in tune. That's the only way I can think it'd be possible, songs would just sound wrong. I'm gonna learn to tune it by ear though so I don't have to worry about losing my tuner or the battery going dead etc. So my ears are THAT good yet really

  • @vodkaone1053

      Jacob Eyres Good Job on doing the homework before you make a decision. An electro-acoustic is the same thing as an acoustic electric. As far as the sound, it will sounds like an acoustic guitar if you are using an amp that’s designed for acoustic-electrics or a PA. If you use an amp that’s designed for electric guitar, you will be able to get some more sounds out of your instrument, but it may not sound very clean.

    and i need to know how to plug it in but not an accustic sound. I want an electric sound more..? Does that make sense??

      Wolf Blood maybe consider an electric guitar the quality of an electric guitar would be better because the pickups would handle effects better but if u want to be able to have an acoustic as soon as u unplug then you can add effects to it just as u would an electric guitar. And yes that guitar is electric acoustic

      Buy acoustic if you want to learn how to play, it is cheaper, if you intend to play to large crowd then go for acoustic electric, you can plug it to an amplifier to amplified the sound.

      They are the exact same. If you get the acoustic electric and never plug it in, you lose the money, but you lose nothing in sound or playability. I’d personally say it’s worth it if you can spare it. Just in case you want to try a different style later on.
