i think for 30 dollars a day its worth the coverage. you can walk away from the car and not have to worry about anyt hing. no deductible, no limited coverage, it's 100 percent.
Sailing Argos I work in the industry and this video is right and loss of use is a thing. I never con people but give them the information and let them make the call. for me the question us why make a claim or be financially responsible for a car that's not yours? why waste time with your insurance company trying to get reimbursed etc.
If you're a bad driver and renting the car for only a day or two, sure. If you have as few accidents as most people, and especially if renting a car for an extended period, it'd be foolish to pay for extra coverage. Here's a great video that breaks things down: th-cam.com/video/kCPyeNQSYFc/w-d-xo.html
I'm glad the video emphasize that credit card pays ur deductible and not damage. Work rental car company and ppl think credit card companies going to pay 15000 if car is total loss. Second best advice give if u only have car day or two pay for ins bc traveling to location u are not familiar with and greater risk accident..now if u have for week then it better just use your own but for day rental your fool not get it
Is it legal for a rental company ( Thrifty ) to charge $30 for a ticket a client got, for running a yellow light, picked up on a camcorder. That ticket was $50 and paid, therefore, the rental company seems to be usurping on the already paid penalty of that client. It certainly is unethical. Why should they piggyback the cops and get their tips ?????
Is it even legal for them to charge? That's like someone causing an accident and you demanding they pay BS fees just because you said so. Um, no, that's what our courts are for.

loss of use? Looks like I'm not renting a car any more.
I agree! It is a high premium but worth it.

Well if you have car insurance. The answer is no. If you do not have car insurance the answer is you must.

Thank you, I just looked up my credit card and they do provide rental insurance.
If it's just me, then no, I just use my own auto insurance. But if my wife is a driver, I add the Damage Waiver insurance.
Read the contract, make sure you denied the coverage and keep the receipt ! otherwise, you are vulnerable.
Rental car is not easy any more.
