i actually think this would be a terrible idea. Dex has very little going for it in elden ring. Thematically it makes sense to be either dex or faith, lightning is really what makes dex work in terms of weapons. Faith already has the access to incredible incantations and the second best weapon in the game, along side one of the best weapon affinities (flame) meanwhile heavy typically out performs keen in most builds. Especially with how strong arcane is, and the few selection of good dex weapons if lightning was removed... yeah absolutely a terrible idea. (there is a reason why the majority of builds that ChaseTheBro uses is typically heavy and that is because it is typically better) I honestly think they should have had a C scaling on dex for the Gravel stone talisman, and give a A scaling to faith or vice versa, give it a high requirement in either one of the stats so it isn't easily abused. I would have loved a complete dragon cult build but removing lightning from dex in this game would be a bad idea. I also sort of liked the charm of making it feel different from arcane and strength where it has an identity. The only thing bizarre I find about it is the fact elements associated with godslaying (gravel stone and black flame) are associated with dex and faith.
@@undefinedvariable8085 honestly the low level spells from the dragon cult work well with dex/faith builds due to lightning spear having a solid dex speed scaling. While I understand the grievances for the FTH builds, it honestly helps make dex work, while faith sort of remains overtuned.
My favorite thing about elden ring is the incorporation of dragon based attacks, rather than just the transformation from the souls. The physical dragon claw & maw with the crucible shoulder charge is such an op combo. ❤
One thing Elden Ring really did right was take things that previously had been lackluster at best (a lot of the AoE fire spells, the dragon breath and claws, poison builds, etc) and made just about every single thing useful with the right build. There's very few spells in Elden Ring that make me think "but why though?".
5:17 based on Chase's current HP the big magic sword like almost 1500+ HP so Id say its pretty good for a random wizard build you find in invasion. Though if that guy is using Night comet then dual staff of lost with night comet with do much more dmg in on one fully charge attack.

I found this weapon during the first couple weeks after launch. I wondered why I never saw anyone else using it. It was so nasty. I loved pairing it with Bolt of Gransax and a seal to make a dragon lightening build. V fun

I just can't understand why so many people got hit by the fully charged Thundercloud Form? I mean it hits hard but when there's no other distractions and they're all looking right at you it's a little beyond me how they still get hit by it 😅 Would love to see a fast rolling assassin style build from you next though Chase! Or if you're going to continue with the cosplays, I'd love to see Fia or Friede, also appreciated that Ains Ooal Gown cosplay we saw a whole ago.. idk what that spell is even called with the annoying chasing skulls, but bonus style points if you can work that into a build somehow! 🥰
The behaviour of this weapon's art is surprising in a lot of ways if you're not familiar with it. Surprising range when charged. Surprising short burst speed when uncharged. But easy to avoid if you're aware. Roll towards the charged version, it'll overshoot. Roll away from the uncharged version, it'll lack the range. Trick is knowing what version you're dealing with. You won't know it's the uncharged version until it's out and by then you're sprawling. And the user can still turn it into a charged version, within a short window (about a second) after pressing L2 once. So if you start panic rolling back, they can just switch it up (press L2 again and hold) and start chasing you,. And at that point it's almost always a guaranteed hit if you keep rolling back to avoid. If someone's in your face, it'll probably be the short uncharged version, roll back (but not immediately) or turtle-up (it's got a slow recovery so you can shield counter). It's also very punishable, you're still vulnerable in cloud form (I've been 1-shot out of the air with a colossal sword's Lion's Claw). And about those recovery times, they're steep; you can knock someone flat with a short uncharged burst and they'll be able to get up again and punish a heal (that's rough man, you should be able to use the time you've earned from an attack like that to heal if you need to, but no).
That dude who you tried to stop from casting elden stars, his spell did no damage to you. I kept expecting you both to take a large sum of damage but it just never came.
Play it back on 1440p and you'll see both Chase and the guy wielding the bloodhound's fang legit missed. Chase was just shy of landing the hit and his crouched landing animation caused curved sword guy to whiff. The only sus part is Chase not taking damage from elden stars when he clearly should have. He also somehow doesn't get hit by his opponent's piercing fang during the fight on the lighting hill when it was 100% on target. There are more than a few sus moments just like this in Chase's videos.
@@MadMethod-qs1en yeah I saw the miss with bloodhound guy but the elden stars part made question my eyesight lol. A lot of it is just poor server connection as has always been the case with these games but there are also a lot of two people completely missing each other which just makes me giggle.
@@chrisofthehoovers4055I assume it's latency/packet loss. We see Chase straight up slicing the guy in half yet the hit never connects. Not sure if between sections the hit did connect or not. Probably said latency/packet loss cause the spell go not register on the server or something like that? That's why we see the spell yet it doesn't cause damage nor flinching at all.
@@maxidiaz7955 I've seen and been subject to hundreds if not thousands of elden stars, across a wide spectrum of connection quality, and not once has it been as weirdly ineffectual as it was with Chase in this video. Only when you sprint past the tiny projectiles at a steep angle does it seem to miss this consistently, which isn't so strange, given how latency works, but Chase was running at a pretty obtuse angle (almost 180 degrees) and the incant just seemed to inexplicably stop working. How very convenient that it would work this way for someone who is known to abhor this incantation.
