I'm hoping this is a side channel that hasn't caught traction yet. Because this kind of structure, editing, and most importantly, genuine insight, are unbelievable with under 100 subs
Thank you for the kind words. This is a new channel I only started a bit more than a week ago, yes, and I will be trying my best to keep improving and will definitely remain active going forward.
This video is so good this was only recommended to me in my homepage. I love fantasy and storytelling content as I want to become a writer. The effort you put into this video is outstanding. I am surprised that you only have 40 subs. I'll round that number up to 41 since you gained another subscriber in me. Keep up the great work. I hope your channel grow, sir
I really appreciate the supportive words, thank you. I only started the channel a bit more than a week ago and am super appreciative for every single comment or subscription.
I'll do my best to keep improving and adding value to viewers for sure, I'm in it for the long run :)
Ok, so I'm giving you a like and a comment, and I'm going to watch the whole video (PLEASE WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO, PEOPLE) because it's thoughtful and I'd like to help your channel spread. It wasn't exactly what I was thinking of though. I was hoping for something more along the lines of how fantasy creatures would fit into an ecology.
Decent video. Good luck with your channel.
Thank you for the support and feedback, I really appreciate it :)
"How fantasy creatures would fit into an ecology" is to me something that is more worldbuilding than storytelling focused (at least in my humble opinion) but I actually do plan to cover that within one of the next few videos (not sure exactly which one, but somewhere in the next 2-3 videos).
This is meant to be a comprehensive video about creating new fantasy creatures and as such, their biology, their impact on ecology etc. all plays an important role in that of course.
Insane quality, like everyone keeps saying. I’m excited to see more of your work
Thank you for the kind words. I'll do my best to keep improving and add value as much as I can :)
I wiped the dragons out in my novel for the plot as one of the villains path to power. Since they are always viewed as power houses i made that decision to up my antagonist's threat level
So your antagonist defeated the dragons, or were they wiped out differently, leaving him without their power overshadowing him?
@@TheTaleTinkerer she did it with help of an ancient army. Only 5 of 10,000 survived plus one half dragon who is part of the main cast. She's a planner so she knows if she takes out different factions it'll make conquest easier. At the start of the story only Tierwelt, the home if the beast, and Aquarion the sea kingdom remain besides the kingdoms of man. Giants are in seclusion in shame for being tricked and not being able to save their friends the dragons so she doesn't worry about them. She was banished after killing the dragons and had most of her magic sealed which is why some of the factions are still around.
Some fine thoughts for my Dungeons and Dragons game. Thank you.
You are welcome, always happy to help out a fellow roleplayer :)
I'm actually trying to write my own high fantasy Isekai novel (it's probably going to end up being a series), and I'm saving this to my reference materials.
I'm glad that you find it useful and wish you all the best with your own novel of course :)
what is it about?
@@RaiDKing999 well, it's an Isekai like I said, although I'll be keeping the particulars to myself as I'm trying to make sure that no one claims I'm trying to steal ideas from others, if it does become a series then I'll make sure I'm almost done before I start getting it published as I tend to have writer's block a lot, but I can guarantee this, there will be no harem for the sole reason that I want it to be unique when it comes to Isekais.
great video.
Thank you, it's really amazing to see so much support given in the comments on the few videos on this brand new channel of mine. Very much appreciated :)
I have at least 2 characters in my storytelling who are both mythical creatures, mainly a kitsune and a dragon.
They’re both in love with my human protagonist, but they can be very jealous of each other, which can cause a few misadventures that would be hilarious for a fantasy story.
What do you think?
It sounds like a unique triangle that you've created there. A Human, Kitsune and Dragon are not really the first three things I'd think of here. It can certainly open up great storytelling opportunities. The question I personally would ask myself here is how to properly convey the love of a Kitsune or Dragon for a Human :)
FOR THE HORDE!!!
Did the narrator change or did the owner of the channel change cause this is quite different from the last 2 videos. Not that I'm complaining the quality is still the same but I'm wondering why you decided to shift from your previous style to the current one
I was experimenting with AI voice and other things while in the process of getting my audio/video setup as well as the video style to my desired starting state :)
While I obviously will continue to try and improve with every video, the last four videos now where all in a similar style in terms of camera, audio etc.
All videos were done by me personally though, so no change or anything in that regard :)
For the Horde!
I did "heart" the comment but I can of course not support the essence of its meaning. It clearly should be "for the alliance" :)
Saying "genies bound to lamps" after "you should know the origins of the creatures you're using" made me laugh out loud since the western knowledge of the jinn is limited to only that one story which a french guy added on his own and might just be made up.
That "western knowledge" has its own place by now though :) The "lamp djinn" is not something that made an entrance in the last few years, it has been around for quite a while. But, point taken - I could have given a more clear example here that would have been less controversial. Appreciate the feedback and will try to remember it the next time :)
Woah, what happened to other guy. 😳
If "other guy" is referring to the first two videos of the channel, these were also done my me but they used a basic avatar and AI language as I was still in the process of getting camera and mic setup to a point I was satisfied with. So there was no person-related change here in any way :)
A rather skin deep video, but you are also just starting so it's understandable... However you can't be "teaching" people about mythological creatures and then showing a picture of the Egyptian Sphinx while talking about it giving riddles... That's the Ancient Greek Sphinx which is entirely different creature.
Not to mention all of the creatures you talk about have way more depth than you are presenting here and you are also misconstruing the symbolism about some of them. You should've used examples but instead of going all over the place and trying to show off your knowledge (which is wrong or incomplete) about very common and relatively known creatures, you could've focused on ONE as a main source for the video and examined it in depth, adding upon layers such as modern culture, the original inspirations for that specific creature... How history transformed around it and myths grew as society moved through the ages and how the symbolism of it evolved.
Also you completely missed the opportunity to completely flip a concept of a creature on its head... Such as a unicorn that acts as a murderous and evil being.
I appreciate the feedback, thank you. I do actually reference the greek version of the sphinx being the one associated with riddles but not changing the image at the same time might have been confusing, so I'll look out for such things in the future. In general, this was meant as a introductory video that already went past 10 minutes so it's a delicate balance sometimes deciding upon depth and length.
But again, your feedback is very much noted and I'll keep it in mind, thank you.
