Joep De Kok try a cable that has a mic, for example i use sony bt cans with a cable from a dif pair, that has a mic on it. Connect it to your controller and voila. It uses the mic from the wire and audio from the headphones. Yeah, youre stuck with a wire but still

That's because he's full of crap and only official headsets work with the PS4 straight out of the box. The official PS4 Headphones will work but not the buds. This has been a big complaint about the PS4. There is no sign that sony will be changing this.

E M P T Y you need a wireless adapter. It comes in the box.
The solution is super simple. Connect your headphones to your controller then go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices > Output to Headphones > All Audio.

@@COMMANDOS-xx1sw sucks to suck haha jk. Most wireless headphones come with audio jacks. You should have the option to listen to your headphones with a wire given they run out of battery. Only solution I can think of.

This method does NOT work unless you have the specific bluetooth headphones that Sony supports (I'm not sure which ones but there's only a few kinds).

That's because he's full of crap and only licensed headsets work with the PS4 straight out of the box. The official PS4 Headphones will work but not the buds. This has been a big complaint about the PS4. There is no sign that Sony will be changing this. There are some Bluetooth adapters that work with the PS4 which will let you use your "non ps4" headphones but it's a crap shoot. Just plug your headphones into the controller and use them that way. But even then on some headphones the inline mic will not work.

note: for anyone who has their PS4 connected to their home theatre with speakers and an input receiver, this wont work. you need it to be speaker less, and on a monitor. why? because your PS4 wont accept any audio bluetooth devices because your PS4 already knows its connected to an audio input. So, don’t hate on this guy just because it doesn’t work for your home theatre!

Everybody get a Bluetooth transmiter and make sure you get on with usb and plug it in you your ps4 you dont need cables i tryed it i needed no cables put you headphones into pairing mode the transmitter should already be in paring mode then they should connect automatically

It is a pretty important distinction, one that the poster actually addresses at the end of the video which makes it odd to misrepresent the title of the video. What PS4 model is this? I have the original PS4 and when connecting headsets with Bluetooth microphones it says Bluetooth microphones are not supported and make me use the DualShock 4 to connect the headset mic.
