This video was inspired by BonfireVN Boss VS Boss videos, and I thought of sharing the fun of boss wars, but in Bloodborne and Demon's Souls!

Blades of mercy are amazing against Maria when you're actually playing the game. In untransformed state they don't stagger at all, ever, which in p1 (untransformed rakuyo) and p2 let's you just circle right and hit her without her staggering and jumping backward every time.
@@csquared4538 Well yeah that weapon is more of a combo based weapon and fast attacking and that is where all the power is Eileen uses the daggers in that manner and does a hell of alot of damage you know Normal players get their buts kicked by Maria but Eileen is easy to defeat in battle yet Eileen can out damage Maria this is weird

Would be pretty ironic because the beggar, when he transforms, asks the hunter: " You call me a beast? ME?!"
And Old Hunter Father Gascoigne transforms into a beast mid fight.

hmm but i think considering gascoigne is the first boss, the abhorrent beast might outstagger him. But it would be cool.
@@simongarrels8929 an HP buff might be enough to even things out. Gascoigne still hits like a truck.
@@overlorddante Gascoigne does okay damage, yes. But if he gets permanently staggered, he is dead. Because no other entity has stamina(maybe all player like characters but i doubt that since they have unlimited munition)
I just leave my thoughts here:
If I remember correctly, the Crow Hunter Set has the best Blood Defense of all other sets. That's quite useful because Eileen is always in contact with Blood and Hunter who uses blood weapons. So it's just makes sense why Eileen's Set has so much blood defense.

They doubled Eileen's health.
Eileen the Old gal still has a lot in the tank. Her speed is just to much. Could you imagine how great she must have been in her prime . Maybe the greatest hunter of all time.
That title is probably more appropriate for Maria, Gehrman, or Ludwig pre-transformation. Eileen is a canonically strong and skilled hunter, and it's fair to assume she would've been even better at her craft before she fell to senescence, but Maria/Gehrman are the ones who took down Kos. Eileen hunts hunters sure, but has she ever hunted a legend? Her damage is so high in game because she's supposed to be able to take Henryk down, who has insane tank stats in general because you'd just slap him around with zero risk if he didn't. As fun as this fight is I doubt she'd beat canon Maria.

@@jacobesterson you make a valid point but remember Eileen job was to hunt Hunters. What if Gehrman or any others went mad at the time to the blood. Eileen would have been sent to deal with them. So it's actually hard to say any of the big time Hunters could beat her or vice versa. But I get what you're saying. And we may never know.

I LOVE the idea of Eileen traveling to the Hunter's Nightmare to free Old Hunters like Maria and Ludwig.
EDIT: Something else I realized I love about Bloodborne: the female characters. Their outfits are cool without using fanservice and they’re some of the most badass hunters in the game.
What about Lucathiel or Anri or Beatrice the witch or Karla's outfit which is an inspiration from the crows in bb?

The best part is that they have tied hair to prevent obstructing the vision.

After having seen all your fights- I’ve noticed that Maria has lost almost every battle that takes place on her stage, but tends to win when she’s somewhere else. Guess it just goes with the lore where Maria is destined to die in the clocktower. (Yes, I know she wins round 2 here)
Definitely feeling Maria's pain on that first round almost-comeback. Happens to the best of us.
Maria totally comboed eileen at the end of the 2nd round damn. It was like unleashing all her fury.

She might have needed 2x health, but this was a very fun showing from the Hoonter of Hoonters. Maria's HP wasn't halved either, so I feel impressed by this rather than feeling pity like for Simon in his video. Things got thrilling at the end of each round.

Not only that, but even with 2x the health Maria has 4 times as many hitpoints. It's impressive!

Ds1 npcs: no health whatsoever, they die in like 3 hits.
Ds2 npcs: normal health but they get staggered to death and they end up dying preety fast
Ds3 npcs: good balance between health and damage, some of them are really powerfull but none of them is really that strong
Bloodborne npcs: literal fucking gods of destruction and anhilation. They can destroy your hopes and dreams in seconds and are harder than some of the bosses in the game.
End up dying pretty fast?? Say that to Forlorn or Thomas 😭

A pity there was no round 3 tiebreaker, but I guess that makes fans of both happy,

I love the intro cutscene playing with the Crowfeather set, and Maria’s theme synced with her phase transitions were very satisfying touches
A battle of dual wielding.
This just shows how good Eileen's moves and AI is. If they had comparable health she would've easily outmatched Maria, which is insane.
It felt like Eileen took literally no damage from Lady Maria’s phase transition AOEs
On some of these fights, that AOE hits for 7000. Even with the huge blood defense from the attire, it should definitely do more than *nothing*
Eileen just has 4k HP, it's crazy how little damage María does but knowing it scales way higher in NG+s, makes sense

Lady Maria: "Well, It doesn't matter, but please tell me, is he alright?".
Eileen: "I'm sorry, but I no longer dream".

I think that Eileen also known about Maria, Eileen is at the same age like Gehrman. Maybe Maria got her ass kicked by Eileen many times until she finally beat her, but Eileen kicked her ass more.
@@christiancerna6866 I don't think that's the case, because if I remember correctly, the description for Maria's weapon and attire stated that she was one of the first hunters to train under Gherman, and according to the lore, Eileen came way later in the story, like Djura

@@tsukisenshi8100 The Blade of Mercy had the same material like the Burial Blade. In some time later she ecentually met Gehrman again but as a prisoner of the Hunter's Dream. That's why she meet the Doll. Also Gehrman knew about the incident of Old Yharnam.

Maria fight to me is the absolute pinnacle of the violent dance of BB combat and the theme only elevates that all the more.

That first fight almost turned into one of those moss moments where the boss has a sliver of health, you choke, and the boss whiddles you away even though you just need to breath on them.
My first time with kos. I ran out of vials and bullets. I COULDVE KILLED HIM WITH A GUNSHOT

Man if Eileen hadn’t magically avoided Lady Maria’s 3rd phase Tactical Nuke, she couldn’t have won. Lady Maria was dealing so much blood damage even through Eileen’s Crow set that they were basically even. That’s like dealing 1000 damage with Sorcery to an opponent who only takes 40% of magic damage

Npc are just very tanky and nuke didn't melt eilien like other bosses because she is like our character. You know she is pushed away
I really enjoyed how Eileen, the hunter of hunters, was honestly doing quite well in the early stages of both of the fights when Lady Maria duels most like a hunter.
been awhile since I played bloodborne so when I saw the hp gap was expecting a slaughter. Forgot that there was a very good reason I wore Crow set to fight Maria: Amazing blood defense

No, it's because all NPC's (including the player's) resistances are much higher than any of the in game enemies. They just have massive hp pools instead.
Just try and parry and riposte both Maria and the cainhurst crow. Maria will take a lot more damage

Coming back to this, especially after watching the Bloody Crow fight Maria, it just goes to show how much fucking damage Eileen does. She has over 10,000 less health and yet still goes toe-to-toe, while the Bloody Crow had almost identical health and lost by a thread.
I can say with confidence that she out-damages the crow in a pure blade standpoint; he's only harder because visceral 1-shots suck ass.

I was rooting for Lady Maria. Not normally a fair fight but giving Eileen 2x health made it pretty even coupled with that blood defense. Cool fight
The ending of the first round was INTENSE, so close Maria, so close
Friendly remiender that Eileen is way out of her prime, imagine encountering her younger self in the DLC as an optional boss, she could probably have gone toe to toe with Gherman.
My thoughts exactly she would have made a great boss. Or possibly like the Pursuer in DS2. Made it like if you did a certain thing in the game she would appear occasionally and hunt you.
