Thanks for sharing this video with us Joe and Melissa. You sound good Joe so the surgery must have went well, now let it heal till the doctor releases you. Stay safe . Fred.
My husband who died 2 years ago absolutely loved trains we are in uk & trains here are much smaller but the whole experience was fantastic. Your trains are really huge
Love this! Being from Duluth & my great grandfather & grandfather both worked the trains. I took the shorter train ride & have been wanting to ride to Two Harbors! I’ll be taking the ride this summer when I come home! And yes the smell is heaven ! Take care Joe & Melissa
I'm glad you're on the mend. I hope the boredom doesn't get too bad. Try to do what the doctor says. I know it's hard to believe, but they really do know what they're doing. All the best to you and Melissa, and the pooches too.
I am glad that they can take these older systems and still run them. They make trips such as this (A Fall Leaf Colors Tour) just pop. We still have a few trains that run in NC. Primarily in the mountain areas. I think they provide more pizazz then just the Amtrack system.
I absolutely LOVE train museums. Growing up in central IL, we had a place or two to enjoy rails of yesteryear. It's a shame the US isn't as rail heavy as the rest of the world; best way to travel.
Joe I know it must be quite enjoyable for you because you are not having to direct a little one like I see most of the parents are doing. I don't know how my parents were able to do that so many years ago. I makes me appreciate what they did. Since I have never been a parent I missed out on all those duties. It is hard enough just to keep me in line. 😆😆
I remember taking my girls there when they were little. Being girls, they didn't get very excited. But, they both went to college up there and my youngest lives in Two Harbors, so something must have appealed to them.
Greetings from Northeast Ohio. That was nice, but I’d rather be on the Polar Express. They serve hot chocolate and you get to see Santa Claus lol. We rode a train like that when we were in the Adirondacks and upper state New York.
You better take up polishing the silver or crocheting or writing a book its only been a few days and you're looking for work 😁 And none of us are surprised!
Enjoyed the tour...tke your time with recovery and all goes well. Hope you were able to find someonr to load your furnace...perhaps one of the neighbors...
I hope you are feeling well. Try to take it easy. Be a good patient. Sit down, relax, and enjoy your time with a great wife and relish the close times. Give Joanie a scratch for me. Have a good one.
Lucky you, getting to ride on the RDC (Budd Company Rail Diesel Car). I rode on Boise Budds when the Virginia Railway Express first started operations (1992-2001). They were RDCs that had been stripped of their Detroit Diesel engines, the vent shafts and roof vents and converted into traditional passenger coaches. I loved them, as did a group of other railfans. We tried to get the VRE to keep them, but they declined and moved forward to bi-level gallery cars. Shucks! Do hope your recovery is progressing well. Did you meet Ken Buehler, executive director of the museum?
Glad to hear that surgery went well
Thanks for sharing . We wish you a speedy recovery from your surgery .
