My father worked for the NP, and I had the privilege to take two trips from Minneapolis to Spokane on the North Coast Limited back in the 1960s. Greatest ride ever.
Starts giving me an idea of the size of the museum and the number of vehicles and engines in the collection. Such a move is easier when the museum is closed, but it is very special to be able to watch it take place. At 100 tons, I trust the Northern has working brakes and the air was connected. Thank you for showing.
I never really knew this place existed until your TH-cam videos started pooping up in my recommendeds. I only live an hour or so away and this place it top on the list once things get more normal again! I'm loving these videos so many little facts and history it's really interesting.
It's been many years since I've had a moving view from the rear observation car. That would have been back in the Illinois Central and Rock Island passenger train days. I did, however, ride the caboose on the B&SVRR a few years ago. Thank you for the great video.
Modern ‘shoving platforms’ often have the caboose interior permanently sealed off, so there would be no access to the cupola or amenities... just an end platform to ride on while controlling a shove move.
@@NorthShoreScenicRailroadDuluth i asked the question wrong. sorry. Does the LSRM have a live stream over the internet of the two way radio traffic at the grounds?
Those are beautiful train cars and engine's.

I’ve been going there since I has very little, but it always surprises me how many people haven’t heard of it.

Another great video. My kudos to all who made this video. Thank you very much. Be safe and healthy please.
I know you're creeping, but that car is surprisingly quiet.
I'm very excited to learn about the NP 2435 sometime in the future!! 😃
They already did a video on it. Check it out on their youtube channel
Yep! Here's a link to that video on the 2435: th-cam.com/video/-edu98m-wZ0/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for making this video I appreciate it
At 15:35 I can see a LTV A-B set but it would be cool if there was a video of them together and a walk on board through the A-B set.
Have you guys thought about investing in a railcar mover?
That's super cool
Sweet!

I’m curious here; why don’t you guys run trains out of the museum? You already have a station
Exaust is mostly the issue.
@@NorthShoreScenicRailroadDuluth must be “exhausting” to answer all these question?
Do a photo freight charter with the SD45s & your BN caboose
where is 2719 227 and the other steamies
i need a hero add's to the ambiance
Ha! The Museum's PA system has been on a much more "modern" spotify channel for the past few months.
@@NorthShoreScenicRailroadDuluth thanks for responding I think its really cool that you guys are showing how you move the equipment around
Can you do a video on the LTV engines together.
Here you go! th-cam.com/video/z39TMQb4ZOs/w-d-xo.html
Do yall have a live audio feed for the train radio movements?
