What’s the movie Clueless about?
Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) is a beautiful, wealthy and popular highschool student living in a Beverly Hills mansion with her rich dad Mel (Dan Hedaya), a grumpy but successful lawyer. Cher’s best friend, Dionne (Stacey Dash) is also beautiful and wealthy and dates Murray Duvall (Donald Faison), another popular student. After receiving a bad grade from a harsh teacher, Cher decides to play matchmaker and orchestrates a romance between her school’s two hard-grading teachers. Her plan ends up working perfectly and seeing the new couple enjoying their blissful relationship fills her with joy. She decides to keep using her skills for good deeds. Her next project? Transforming Tai Frasier (Brittany Murphy), the “tragically unhip” new girl, into one of the coolest girls in school. When Cher’s ex-step brother Josh (Paul Rudd) visits her during a break from college, he mocks her superficiality, pushing her to be even more selfless.

Here's my thoughts: I honestly think Elton may have felt some small attraction to Tai or maybe he was just being friendly to her because she was friends with Cher. He does seem like he feels pressured by his friends and parents to date only girls who come from wealthy families like himself also based on his comments he makes when he is trying to make out with Cher in his car. Maybe if Tai were more popular or wealthy he would've dated her but we will never know because they never did a clueless sequel and Tai was attracted to Travis before Cher put the idea of Elton in her mind.
