Paulo costas actually a super funny guy in my opinion. Plus he’s made more effort to learn English than many other fighters.

I feel like this generation of international fighters really understand the importance of learning English if they want to give themselves a springboard to superstar status. Skill/talent can take you far af, but sometimes they need that extra little push to really make a stance in their division.
Best example I can think of right now is Weili Zhang, she's improved her English in a really short period of time and is now is one of the largest names in the women's divisions. Ofc, her performance against JJ helped tremendously but the interviews and the "shut up" in broken English during the face off definitely helped her in the eyes of the fans.
