- Driving through Hanover, Ontario from east to west on Grey County Road 4, aka 10th Street.
Hanover was settled in 1849, originally named Buck's Crossing and Adamstown. It was incorporated as a town in 1904. It is now home to nearly 7,700 residents. The Saugeen River runs through.
Neighbouring Walkerton is just 10 kilometres to the west. Downtown Toronto is 180 KM to the southeast. Owen Sound is 60 KM to the north.

My father was born and raised on hanover. I heard great stories from him about his childhood growing up there
Thanks, I viewed it. The hospital on the left, I was born there. Its not a hospital anymore. The bridge where the train crashed back in '76 or '77. Then they ripped out the CNR tracks in '89 maybe. CPR ripped their tracks out in '81 or '82. After the train left, and the roller rink closed, the town didn't really appeal to me anymore. Even when I did live their, my working life was always in Walkerton or Owen Sound.
Thanks for this video brought back so many memories from when I lived in Hanover as a boy before we moved country's
