Excellent work clearing that section of path. Unfortunately this sort of general maintenance is seen as a low priority in the UK. The block paving on our estate looks shabby as the council have simply given up spraying for weeds and sending sweeping trucks around regularly.

You’d have thought so, the council have graded the redway network over the past few years, though unfortunately this is an example of one of the higher priority routes. I don’t think they get the funds from central government that they should do because of their unique nature. They aren’t paths and they aren’t roads.

Thanks for your message, until now it’s only been short segments of redway near my house - I’m looking for more locations for others to tackle.
