- NS train action during intense thunderstorms with lots of lightning. The storms really get going a couple minutes into the video. I DO NOT recommend going outside when it is lightning. I accidentally caught a lightning strike caught at 4:43! I would've had another, but I cut off the camera right before it struck.
I apologize for the shaking in the video. I was holding an umbrella while filming at the same time. I hope you enjoy this video!!
Filming trains and severe weather is a perfect combination!! Thank you for posting!!! I love it!
Just like a tornado, is coming!
It will be nice that's a Nathan P5 Horn!
Trains snd storms are the best thing ever
I love tornadoes and storm and trains
me too
Same here I live practically right next to a train yard in Newark Ohio I have a few trains that come through during the day and night and early morning freight trains gravel trains it's been awhile since I've seen CSX come through Newark Ohio and I have once back in highschool I have seen a BNSF train come through Newark Ohio Norfolk Southern used to come through Newark Ohio two I'm hoping they can carry Stone trains behind my house as well as CSX and Ohio Central
Man i love Severe Weather and Tons of rolling steel. Those 2 have a good mix...
The train passing between the heavy rain and thunder is harmonious.
Thanks for sharing good content
sub & like 😍
Awesome video and that lightning was pretty impressive and I also like the trains with a couple of coal trains
At what point is the lightning? I missed it.
@@mickcarson8504 I'm not sure I was out fishing in a thunderstorm with thunder and lightning and heavy rain in fredonia Ohio earlier this year didn't get struck by lightning God protected me
Train and rain perfect combination, thanks, was beautiful
Rain and trains crazy when mixed. Great video
Something satisfying about unit trains.
Awesome shot!
This is beautiful! You are a lucky person and nice 3-way catches. Keep up the great work :)

4:42 nice catch ⚡️
That are massive trains, except the last one which had lots of power up front. Great video.
Thanks!! Yes, coal trains are usually around 120-130 cars long.
What a wonderful sight
Very cool video!! I saw that NS coal train in Memphis.
+Norfolk Southern ES44AC Thanks!!
wow so awesome I wonder if they ever got struck by lightning ?
+christopher coleman Me too I felt like i was lol!
Clay Crafton talk about shocking lmao 😄😄😄😄
Just really awesome!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
Another new fave.
4:42 Perfection
Nice! Liked and subscribed.
I love the tanker trains.
You cant mess around getting over those tracks in a vehicle, that is one very busy rail line.
The 1st and last train, I think they herd ya coming! lol.
Good video, if those guys in the car were in a hurry, too bad, they had to wait 10 minutes for each train to pass, both of the trains were about a mile long and just to add to their frustration it was pelting down with rain.
Same set of numbers, so probably the same engineer 🙂
4:42 Lightning bolt
Great video 🏆
yoo thanks love trains awsome
awesome video .. nice
I don't mind the rain, it's the lightning that's the problem.. You are a way braver man than I..
It's nerve-racking when its Lightning cause you don't know when the next one will hit and where.
@@Smokin-Rails Exactly. I've got intense astraphobia (phobia of thunder and lightning), and that's one of the biggest reasons why- devastating results and only seconds of warning. I'd have a panic attack filming out in this.
The end is the shortest train I've ever seen.
Seen one with two engines, one car, and a caboose.
Rain or shine they get the job done mother nature bring it on
AMAZING!!!
thank you!
I'm wondering how does it feel like rail fanning during a hurricane?
Awesome video i subscribed
Just a quick question, why do most trains honk there Horns like the video? Safety purposes?
Yes, it is a standard railroad safety procedure
yea and warning
Yes
Mostly because their horns emit weather altering chemicals and they are used in conjunction with the jets that spray the skies with chemclouds. And They make it rain, flood, hail and sleet
Safety
My dad and brother said those days not to good, NS conductors.
Rain, lightning, and thunder no problem. But those trains would be in trouble if Godzilla attacked.
First and video had a nice line up!
Great video, where was this filmed at?!?!
Sheffield Alabama
Oh ok, well it's an awesome video..
Thanks Alot Man!!
+Clay Crafton your welcome. I love watching train videos since NS doesn't come though our town I'm Ohio anymore at all.
David Phillips aww that sucks
I wouldn't want to be in an area near anyting metal when a lightning hits.
Do you live in Georgia
Norfolk Southern has only cargo trains??
clay crafton :Can You shoots videos here in Grand Rapids,Michigan?
Katherine Penning maybe he could unless you want to hold the camera for him
@@BIGRED7413 ok. Lol
Hmmm...standing under electrical wires holding an umbrella during a Thunderstorm...
You're not from around these parts are ya?
hempchimp I am it’s the risk I was willing to take to get the video.
@@Smokin-Rails can you subscribe to my channel
How much is that second train pulling ,that's nuts
134 cars
i seen that engineer on the bnsf train dim his headlights, but not for very long, he could of done it sooner lol
If you look closely later in the video you can see there is a crossing down there. So the BNSF engineer had to keep his lights on bright until he was across it, then he dimmed them for a few moments before meeting the other train.
love those 40-2 s
just another day in paradise
Me too!
I like videos of trains and stuff, but you should not be standing near anything tall and have lighting in the area. need to be more careful. I was standing on my front door step while living in Florida and it was during a thunderstorm and there were telephone/power line poles about 75 ft away from me and it was hit by lighting and knocking me backwards to my front door. didn't do anything to me but scared the day lights out of me. I learned from that point even if lighting is pretty and cool to watch just don't do it outside near something tall like a pole. good videos tho.
same thing happened to me but I was in Bahamas
Love tranhorn good
Some BNSF run through power
is there a coal mine/quarry around there thats a shit-ton of coal hoppers!
No, they're heading to a coal mine in Georgia.
Yes, but those trains would be totally messed up if Godzilla attacked!
Haha
thats an ns teco coal train
Lightning??
4:42 😑
4:42
Go trains
We are losing our coal fire plant. Huh funnel in Nuclear from Ga. instead.
lOOK YOU HAD TO BE A ENGINEER TO RUN THE SD 40- 2 S
Bola
A spring shower is NOT a lightning storm!!!
nightlightabcd that’s more than a spring shower.
4:42 looks like more than a spring shower (but nothing like what I drove through last night!)
That's not a spring shower.
CSXT
The first train NS 3456, there is no reason to blow the horn that long. I don't get why so many engineers do that. It's completely unnecessary and obnoxious and why a lot of the public hates trains and wants quiet zones.
