When you are at war, you don't look at the sky, see that it is clear, then determines that there are no enemy aircraft. You are always on alert for any potential air raids. Same thing here. Bowser may not be here, but given his track record of kidnapping Peach, she should really know better. Don't even get me startled about the fact that Peach herself has magical abilities that she can very much use to defend herself against Bowser and his minions? Yet she only seems to use them in sports or whatever because she never uses them to defend herself, nor free herself when she actually gets captured. Yeah, something's fishy is going on with Peach.
