Seeing Onrush's 14-26 for the first time is when shit gets real. Then seeing Greater Split: Vertical's 20-39 it gets realer. then seeing Greater Split: Horizontal 28-42 ON A MASS ATTACK it finally sets in how the rest of the game is going to be.
Thanks for the guide, in case someone else is also struggling with the fight after seeing the guide, I'd recommend to use another floor first to low her to 350, and then use Binah's floor with her purple card first scene.
Ah yes. This one. After this reception, I started every reception with the Floor of Language and played the "count to 4" game. (except the final reception on the far right side). One thing i really appreciate about Library is that when you pick a boss page, it doesn't feel like the classic "the boss is now inexplicably weaker since joining you". Sure they shed a few hundred HP points, but otherwise it feels like you've actually got the 'real' boss on your side now. (except for a certain blue page... lol). Casting your own Great Splits the first few times feels like cheating, and if you ever cast Onrush 5+ times in one scene its euphoric! For my Mist deck i just ran 3x Upstanding, 3x Spear with 3 flex slots (usually 2 Focus Spirit and 1 Onrush, but later on i dropped Onrush when farming emotion coins became more important). I had a lot of trouble working any Bleed in to my Floor of Language though, which pretty much always meant that Vampirism was a blank abno whenever i pulled it. I tried running Level Slash over Upstanding for a few receptions (to try and have some bleed), but in longer fights I found myself playing off the top of my deck pretty quickly with only Spear for card draw... and since my Spears/Upstandings were typically costing 1 or 0, the extra light didn't feel relevant. 10/10, making my audio peak whenever she manifests EGO is my favorite part.
in my first playthrough I did the exact same thing lmao. I appreciate how they give you all of the dice power that the boss version has access to and it doesn't reduce the rolls. I used to run 2x of all the 2 costs with 1 onrush, but I switched to a 3x spear 3x focus spirit build recently because I enjoy having a lot of strength. I haven't run into the running out of pages to play issue as of yet since the receptions usually end quickly enough, but I could see attributing skim prescript/battle ready as well. I think the light regen becomes fairly relevant when you're using your ego pages with focus spirit and stuff to just make sure you're topped off.
@@AilithNix Yeah, in some fights where the emo up from 4->5 wasnt enough light regen, I did notice that i was intentionally not playing cards to build up more light for another Horizontal or something. Yan helps on that front a lot though.
I think the craziest build I saw was "Gebura Switches to E-cigarettes." Which is Maximum crash plus puffy brume in a hybrid charge smoke deck. While at first, it might seem illogical to have a build that has to focus on smoke and charge. Because you'd probably have to rely on geb's unique cards for clashing. But when you get both active. Seeing greater split horizontal just casually roll 100 is funny.
I don’t get why people said this fight was so hard. With a lv 1 Binah floor you can get her to under 100 hp so long rng doesn’t fuck you over and use the other to floors to during line her before ego. I beat it first try when my only fully prepared floor was binah
Realistically, the only fights that are particularly hard with the right strategy is rrhm and geburas realization because of the rrhm phase. The Red mist fight has a low margin for error because of how snowbally and momentum based the fight is.

there aren't too many unique passives to run, the default is heath/mind hauler, keeping in stride, power boosters, and electric shock. Electric shock is probably more important in this reception than other ones because reducing her damage output is very important. Guts might be worth running, but for 10 points you should probably just run double power boost + keeping in stride & electic shock or single hauler.
I'm still struggling so hard with this fight. The second phase just absolutely wrecks me and I don't have enough damage to burst her down afterwards with my other floors. Not giving up yet though. Wish me luck. 😭
i literally beat this fight first try by abusing the udjat’s pages for protection and using degraded lock before she used ego. she straight up didnt even use great spilt horizontal. AND i got her key page in the third book i got from the reception. i feel like the luckiest man alive rn
any recommendations on decks? Currently using lowell, nemo, and kalo rn, and i usually reach 2nd phase but i find it hard to outlast kali cuz her damage really hits hard
If you're struggling, packing defensive focused decks is really good because the main goal is to not let Kali get her cost reductions. Ferrous Guard and Iron Wall on your Lowell, as well as Energy Shield and A Golden Opportunity on Nemo. Beyond that, if you're getting her to like 200 or less hp on your 1st floor, you might want to set up a firing squad on a second floor, because they can often squeeze out the last bit of damage.

my binah floor got obliterated with kali at ~270 hp, but I somehow managed to beat her to death before she got ego back up with my overcharge squad at roland floor (all with blind fire + snipe) 💀funniest run ive done so far
first try her,tbh i pretty much build the plan for half an hour and what i get are: -floor that i use is binah,hod,and keter in order. -for binah floor,the 1st librarian use philip page,2nd librarian use that one grade 1 fixer dude page,3rd librarian use oscar page -for hod floor,all librarians except the last use Udjat page with full defensive dice pages,the last librarian use emma page and with proper passive,it can more effective despite red mist blunt res. -for keter floor,all librarians except the last one use thumb page with all first scene power up passives.the last librarian use bamboo kim (tbh you can clear the thumb invitation first to get other thumb key pages which is far better0 so pretty much that my build,on binah floor you need to make her enter ego mode and stack as many burn and/or bleed as possible,after all librarians died,proceed to use hod floor and just spam defensive pages (in my playthrough i dont get the social distancing page which boost ur defensive dices so if u get it,it will more easier,glitter page also really help cuz its give the chosen librarian an aggro so that all of red mist attack would be focused on them (well just sont use the page on dying librarian when red mist have on rush page cuz it wil kill all ur librarians.you must make her hp below 200 before all 2nd floor librarians ded.after that its pretty much straightforward,just spam GUNS to kill her.
yeah using firing squad to get the last couple hundred HP works really well, as well as using Udjat pages for more standard play are both really good strategies for this fight.
whatever floor you're using as a firing squad is your second floor, if you aren't using Binah as your main floor, then I'd recommend you do that for this fight.
Whatever your strongest pages are, although slash resistance is a bit more valuable. In the video, I used Lowell, Kalo, and Nemo on Binah's floor. The decks are also mostly the same, but defensive pages are stronger. It's also smart to prep a second floor with a firing squad to get the last hundred or so hp.

Yeah that pretty much guarantees a win because all her bonuses get reset so she's forced to dump all her light into the Great Split.

Yeah, I like to use as many cards as I can so I value light regen fairly highly. Yan also helps a good amount.

Got her to 22 hp and felt miserable so I’m using this guide to make her feel miserabler (ended up soloing her with Binah)

3x indiscriminate Shots, 3x take the shot, 3x wild card, and put all the power on 1st scene buffs (full stop office and Meow Meow)
