i cant wait for the next season personally, not this one is bad but you see more of that friendship between them and its nice seeing our heroes age and deal with issues social and otherwise
I believe one of the creators/writers have said the ending is a tribute to when the New Teen Titans comics surpassed the Justice League comics in sales
I mean sure that's fine; tributes are cool. But imo it's strange considering how Greg Weisman has intentionally stated he is trying to separate this series from the Teen Titans and doesn't want to compare them. But writes the Teen Titans real world success and claims it for his own series in-universe.
@@SubzeroBlack68 I don’t think that’s one in the same tho. The first season has multiple TT references. The show has always been a mix of TT & YJ source material stuff
@@SubzeroBlack68 Two things can be true. It’s not Teen Titans while also paying tribute to arcs that involve characters. the DC universe has multiple universe and rosters that involve these characters. Wouldn’t make sense to just not use any.
Fun fact: this serious Beast Boy is also a callback to the season 2 episode "bloodlines" where beast boy asks impulse: when do I become leader of the team? When do I join the Justice League? When do I get my own reality series? And what do you know? He's now leader of the outsiders, he has his own TV show so all that's left is for him to join the Justice League. 😂
Stargirl/Courtney Whitmore, who has been making short appearances the past couple of episodes, has her own live action show, and it could be a quick watch for the next DC show you guys tackle. Three seasons of 13 episodes each. Even though it moved to the CW for its second and third season, it started out on DC UnIverse/HBO Max, so it has much higher production values than typical CW fare. oh god I never thought about the idea more than one of those things existing, the first one was already traumatizing enough imagining more is just horrifying
That flesh monster when completed would have been a pretty cool thing to have. ZATANNA breaking it apart isn't really fair considering most people don't have magic let alone as powerful as hers. Throw that against normal people or armies and it wrecks house.
To be fair, receiving the information if you are dying by using your powers is pretty important and should be told ASAP. Who knows if Violet will throw herself into more missions or risky situations that would cut her lifespan down even further. We did see how she can boom tube herself subconciously/randomly and get thrown into a dangerous situation like when she met Cyborg.
#SUNDAYRUNDOWN Okay he might be a monster but I love Klarion just talking with his cat, they are so cute together. I could watch an entire episode just about them pulling an Abbott and Costello.
So a non-binary being in a Muslim girl's body wearing a hijab, drinking alcohol, firing guns, and kissing another girl - yeah, this episode would have never been allowed to air on television, thus highlighting this latter season was released online.
Navi is insane... imagining my doctor withholding my medical diagnosis for weeks because some potential research might yield results later? Especially if she only has a few months... Navi is consistently stupid.
There is a difference between going to a doctor and giving consent to run some test and asking for the results than somebody running test without my consent and giving me a diagnosis when I’m not prepared to receive. I hope my doctor is not running test without consulting me first. (Navi)
@@Thenormies sure all things considered "the doctor" in this scenario is wrong initially for doing the test but that's where we are right now... the test is done and the results are dire. Not telling her asap is unacceptable. This hinges mainly because she has a few months and the potential cure is just a potential. If we weigh the choices of telling her vs not its far more harmful not too... lastly the MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR is using her powers actively make her condition worse(the doctor explained healing herself with her powers is what's killing her) lol not telling her means she'll keep using her power uninformed.
That’s a fair argument. My perception comes from the way the information was given and secrecy around it. If she does only have few months to live and using her power is causing that issue then as her “doctor” she should discuss with her “guardian” or her on what she can do until they figure out a solution. She was told that diagnosis and just left her on her own to figure out how to fight differently without her using her power. If a doctor gives a medical diagnosis then it comes with a prevention plan until there is a treatment plan. Just giving a diagnosis without a way to prevent or treatment is going to cause more stress, which will aggravate the situation.
Everything about this episode turned me off the first time I saw it. Especially, that gross ass flesh monster. In the first 2 seasons it was a cool superhero cartoon with more broad “good vs evil” approach that you could watch with your children. Then this season (especially this episode, since they were no longer on Cartoon Network), they wanted to prove they were big boys & girls in the writers room and put all these sociopolitical topics in, that I feel, were unnecessary and not helpful to the enjoyment of the show. That being said, Klarion stuck in the Tower of Fate is still probably the best end credits scene of the show. “Dang it!!” “Meow.” “Dang It!!”😂😂😂😂
I agree with the sociopolitical part, violet being non binary i guess with the context kinda makes sense but the lesbian bit and even the drinking actually I feel like was just random. And I actually find some of the dark moments rlly cool and it was compelling Ik a way, this episode was brutal though
