That twizzle stick thing that you pump up and down is just what David was looking for when he was beating some eggs and he thought there must be an attachment to go on his drill to do that. A good look around the show, thank you both very much. Cheers
It was a nice treat seeing all the boats etc. and the narrow boat tour was most enjoyable particularly when the weather has been so nasty. It was a nice diversion. I would have loved to have seen the Beaver boat outfitted just to see what can be done with the smaller boats but I’m sure there will be others at other shows. Thank you for taking us along and also allowing us to share time with Jasmine. She definitely looked as if she was enjoying the break. Stay safe and looking forward to more adventures
Thank you so much for your comment, Jasmine and I had an enjoyable time at the Boat Show, it was something different but disappointing there wasn’t more there for narrowboaters. Take care.
Gosh - what a flash back - remindsme of the bad old days at Earl's Court (with characters like Charles Sterling Senior - that dates me...) and later at Excel in London Doclands. Both those venues were heaving with gongoozlers / boaters - which your video certainly wasn't. How sad, how very, very sad. Thank you sicerely fo fo an excellent video; most enjoyable. It's quite difficult to do a good show video and you're to be congratulated!!
Thank you for your great comment Henry. I don't believe though that you can compare a brand new show against a Covid background, with the established shows at Earls Court and the Docklands and the larger catchment area. It was a 4 day event and very often shows like this are busier at the weekends. I wish the organisers success. Cheers
Hi Alan and Jasmine, sorry to be so slow watching the video, the boat show looks absolutely fascinating... You must have thoroughly enjoyed your trip. You must be mighty relieved that you weren't a few days later visiting Ironbridge..! Cheers to you both 🍷🍷
Hi Steve, it's horrendous at Ironbridge, I feel so sorry for anyone subject to flooding. There will be another Ironbridge video out, hopefully tomorrow. Cheers

Hi Alan and Jasmine: We have boat and RV shows in the spring here in the US. Been to many of those. Those salesmen are all alike. Just like "used car salesmen". lol Got to run to get away. Good to see David. His is the very first narrowboat video's I watched and I got "hooked" and follow many others. How does he get to look younger every time we see him? I think you and Jasmine would look great together on a JetSki on the canals. Oh, just don't go too fast though. :o) Take care out there and enjoy. Sandy
Hi Sandy thank you for your comment. David was one of the first boat tubers, I have watched him from the start. No fear of us speeding on a jet ski, as the speed limit is 4mph on the canals! All the best.

There were certainly a lot of RIBs in that show. Are RIBs very popular in Britain? Because in North America they would probably prefer aluminum boats over those inflatable hybrids, and I do not know why.
Hi Cary, I don't really know the answer, as I'm not into that sort of boating. I expect it depends on where you're using it, as to what's most suitable. I'm not sure we see many aluminium boats are over here, though I do recall seeing the Canal and River Trust using one. Cost may be a factor.

I'm curious to know if those previous "intersections" were due to a shared interest in narrow boating...or in camper vanning....or both! Did you appear in any of the canal-side social gatherings he shot in the early years of Cruising the Cut?
Hi David. I first met DJ in 2016 at the Crick Boat show and then again the next year and several times subsequently, including a meeting of boat tubers. I didn’t own a boat at the time of the canal side socials, so did not appear. Our shared interests are coincidental. Cheers
Hallo Jasmine and Alan. Thanks for taking us round and showing all the different types of boats. The first thing that I did notice that nobody was wearing a face mask...I thought it would have been made compulsory...or has Covid dissapeard from the UK ?.
Hi Roger, recently there have only been limited places where a face mask needs to be worn but from tomorrow, Thursday all Covid restrictions are lifted. It's then a matter of personal choice, some do wear face masks and some don't.

Why do they call them shows as they are clearly marketplaces for their products. If you charged people to go into a shop no one would go in so why pay to go into this shop.
It's like a one stop shop, you won't find all these 'boaty' manufacturers under one roof elsewhere, only at a show like this. It gives the consumer a good opportunity to see a variety of whatever they're looking for in one place, rather than driving all over the country, which takes time and money. Anyone seriously looking to purchase, is well advised to attend this type of show.
Great boat show. Keith.
