Fun video guys. You guys did great on the banh cuon. I can't help but think with that something that is hand made, fresh, with so much skills involved, would cost a boat load of money here in the West. But in VN, the food is so cheap even though it's so fresh and such high quality. We enjoyed the food in VN as well. We signed up for the foodie tour on the scooter and I found those tour guides to be so personable and fun. Amazing driving skills too. Our two teenage kids really enjoy talking to those young tour guides. Now that we're back in the US, the food culture and night time culture here in the suburb are kind of boring to us now. Safe travel and thanks for posting the video.
Aww thank you so much for watching! We had so much fun exploring Vietnam & can't wait to go back! Hope y’all have the best time in December! We traveled with carryon bags so we didn't bring much home. lol Just some souvenirs for our Patreons & a couple of iron on patches. lol

Aw, well thanks! We love to experience new cultures and one of the best ways to do that is through their food! Our chopstick skills improved greatly on this trip! So thanks for noticing! lol
I love how open you both are trying new things!! I can’t say I would have been brave enough to try a shrimp with the head, but everything else looked great! 😊 you’ve 100% inspired me to go find some Vietnamese food in my area.
Oh man the food there looks incredible. So many new flavours and textures to pack in. I do feel for you Matt with the seating though, although more than worth it for the edible 'art' egg drink.☕
Thank you travel to Vietnam, and try all kinds of food. Enjoy your trip and have safe trip. I am very interesting to watch your very good videos filming in Vietnam.
Thanks for making these video! It’s fun to watch these while I’m stuck doing the every day grind! Helps me pass the time before I get some vacation time!
Such a huge fan of your video!!!!! Always bring joy, sincerity, and happiness to us. I really appreciated all the positive messages that you two delivered! Enjoy the great travel plans ahead!
This series was excellent. You seemed to have a great time during your Vietnam experience. The tour seemed great. A few things that I enjoyed. Your guide was extraordinary. Knowing the tip to order the dish that is the name of the restaurant is a game changer. So simple, yet it makes so much sense. As a short guy, the seating is not a big deal to me, but I travel with a friend who is 6'5" so Vietnam may not be the best choice. Thank you for an excellent series on a place that has intrigued me for years.
Aww thank you so much. Your kind words means the world to us. We definitely had a great time in Vietnam. haha We wish we would've known that little restaurant tip before our last day. haha Yeah the seats are a bit tiny especially if you are going to multiple places to eat in a day otherwise we didn't realize notice! lol Thanks again for watching & for your comment! Hope you have a wonderful week. :)

When I click the link for the tour it takes me to the general tour list for hanoi on "get your guide" but how do I find this specific tour? I really want to experience all the same spots!
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! Sorry for the confusion. Not sure why GetYourGuide does it that way, but when you click the link, it should be the highlighted option called “Hanoi: Guided Street Food Tour with Tastings”. Hope that helps!

I heard you mention Chinese fish sauce when you were at the next stop to eat “ Bánh gối” .You must have made a mistake here because fish sauce is a pure Vietnamese dipping sauce, the Chinese do not use fish sauce but soy sauce. We also use soy sauce which is popular in the Chinese community and vegetarian dishes.
Hi! Thanks for watching! We said “Chinese sausage”, not “Chinese fish sauce”. From what we were told, that particular “Bánh gối” used Chinese sausage in its filling.
I am sorry , I missed understood you and “ Bánh gối “ isn’t made with any ingredients from China. They use cassava, catfish, pork, green onion, fish sauce and Vietnamese spices for filling.
@@thuytruong-do7xrHi, I just read your comment. I think the problem is different region can have a variant of bánh gối. As a person who was born and raised in Hanoi, bánh gối often includes several ingredients like minced pork, vermicelli, woodear mushroom, onion. “Lạp xưởng” (also known Chinese sausage) are added optionally, and the place that Matt tried uses it as one ingredient of the filling.
