- Welcome back to Episode 61 of the Fireside 40K podcast hosted by Vik Vijay & David Gaylard of Team Ignite.
Another year flies by and LGT is back! Dave, Vik and a bunch of Team Ignite are attending this year. To mix things up this episode, we thought we'd try to do a slightly unusual tier list.
TO CLARIFY BEFORE THE INTERNET IMPLODES, the tier list we've done here is not ranking the strongest armies in the game, so if you've skipped through to the end and are about to shoot us an angry comment, read our method below.
This tier list is going to compare the prevalence of factions at the LGT (the LGT Meta) to whether we think the overall player base (not just the top tier, but the entire spectrum of player skills/expectations) of that faction will overperform or underperform (on UKTC terrain).

Regardless of how it actually goes W/L wise I'm looking forward to LGT and closing off my first season of competitive 40K with a bang. The community as a whole is super fun and not the horror stories that you hear about. Made lots of friends and had a great time each event. Running Crusher and I love every minute of playing it. Thanks for the pod that keeps a noob like me in the loop!

Perhaps just a side effect of playing in TX where a bunch of high itc/elo guys play... but treating the Hyperthicc lists as unknown in the US is kinda puzzling. It's been running around for months down here. Honestly it would be way more manageable but Arks are obnoxious... lets make flying vindicators with infinite range and a 4++, lol.
Oh David Gaylard, how do you survive with so little damage in a meta full of chonk? A russ and a TC does not seem like enough dakka.
How can you shoot six lascanons with only three sentinels? :D

Hear me out here: if you don't end up facing eatchother we NEED a showmatch of Vik vs David with your LGT lists (even if it's on TTS) cause that game sounds like an absolute banger
As an Eldar main, I was praying for the points update last week -like you said Vik, all it will take is a few points drops on lesser played eldar units, and a couple of tweaks for the sisters/DWK/hyper and we'll be right back in the mix

Ha, I usually do have Ublock + Adblock but I was playing with them because of the youtube updates recently, need to turn them back on for sure.
