Hello Larry5200, Nice video and nice 1943 tie date nail. You are correct on the WW2 effect on those nails. The U.S. government needed a lot of scrap metal and metals for the war. A good example of this WW2 scrap metal and metal limitations and collecting, is the 1943 copper Wheat pennies that are very rare and they made steel-zinc pennies in 1943 that are worth not as much as the copper.
