Hi, stumbled upon your channel by chance, as I’m planning to do a trip to the Picos de Europa on my motorcycle. I live in Brussels but my daughter is studying in Exeter in the Uk, so I’m planning to pick her up and do the trip together. For me it will be a sentimental journey as I’m a Spaniard myself and I was particularly touched by this episode as you passed by my birthplace and you showed some pictures of the castle I spent my childhood playing in, the Castle of Coyanza. As others before me have stated, great editing. Cheers
Thanks very much Carlos! We’re so glad you enjoyed watching our adventures and especially since it brought back some good memories for you - we hope you have a fantastic trip with your daughter and thanks again for watching! 😀👍
Hi I just subscribed to your channel ,I’m a fellow biker (58 tiger 1050) I love the relaxed way you show the places you go ,I certainly want to do north coast 500 Mike
Thanks very much Mike! Another Tiger rider 👍 can’t recommend the NC 500 enough - as long as you don’t do it in peak time! Hope you get to do it soon - thanks for watching! 👍😀
Sue Taylor Thank you Sue! Good food and drink 🍺🍷are two of life’s great pleasures- we always try to find time for them 👍😀. Hope you have a great Christmas 🎄!
Another very enjoyable video and even my wife who is a non-biker said it’s more like a travel programme and you really have encouraged us to go to this region of Spain. The fact that you give a commentary is a huge addition and sections of your editing are inspired. I am a seasoned biker and well travelled. To enhance your footage, ditch the iPhone for a better camera or use a gimble for the iPhone. Move the GoPro off the pannier as footage of your thigh is not the best. Mount your GoPro on your helmet and Sue’s somewhere where we don’t see part of her screen but a more open view. Footage is jerky at times. Compared to others who have 1000s of subscribers your vids are light years ahead and this is mainly due to Sue who adds another dimension to it all. I get bored listening to the old boys banter that many other well known vloggers seem to offer. More please!
Steven Meston Thank you so much for your comments and constructive feedback. We are continually trying to improve our channel- it’s only small but one day we might hit the dizzy heights of TMF/Richy Vida, etc! We love riding our bikes but we also love exploring the places we ride to and we want that to come across in the videos, but we are still learning the craft! So we appreciate your thoughts and feedback 👍. On our next tour (probably France 2020) we’ll experiment with other go pro mountings. We made an early decision not to mount on our helmets. We know most (all?) vloggers do but didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a good helmet and then compromise the aesthetics, aerodynamics and integrity by sticking things on it! 😩 just a personal thing. We really do appreciate you following the channel and taking time to give us feedback. Having Sue riding her own bike does indeed create another dimension 👍 we deliberately didn’t want to be another blokey channel, so hopefully it’s working! Thanks again!😀
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries OMG tell me about it! The garage got flooded yesterday! Nothing that bad but it did see me in there for around three hours cleaning up! Roll on the spring! Having said that I am currently sat here in my bike gear about to take a run over to Bakewell! I must be mad!
Really enjoying this very well produced video series. Would you consider to add the words 'Motorcycle' + 'Tour' into your title as I suspect doing a search will not pull up this video in the results? After all your hard graft producing these great travel vids need to be seen! Thanks
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries l see you have included these search words in the title of the next video. I should have waited! Lol. Inspiring me to do a trip this summer on.my Cb500x. I toured Northern Spain about 34 years ago on a GT550!
like the way you guys travel ! very relaxed and chilled out no stress , thats the way i do it but i camp to save money . i normally get campsite in spain around 15 - 20 eu . ride safe .
Thanks Stephen! We try to keep our mileage low enough each day to eliminate unnecessary stress! 😀 I did camp a bit when I did the Pan American Highway but there’s no way I could persuade Sue to get in a tent at the end of a days riding! 😂
Another enjoyable vid thanks. Think Carol and I need to make more of an effort to head into some of Spain's great cities and explore. I suspect the secret is not planning too huge a riding day between stops. Have a great Christmas. Richard and Carol
Banditmanuk Thanks again Richard! We deliberately decided to do shorter rides so we could spend more time exploring the places we visit. Also, my back won’t allow me to do long rides anymore 😩. Hope you and Carol have a great Christmas! 😀👍🍺🍷🎄
Nice tour videos working my way through your collection- I’m going to Spain with 3 other riders next June - do I buy a proper sat nav or just rely on iPhone? Thanks
Thanks Paul! Glad you’re enjoying our adventures 😀 hope you have a great trip next June - Spain is a fantastic biking country 👍. Sat nav vs. phone is a personal preference. We know lots of people use just their phone and they can then use apps like Calimoto. We prefer to have both ( just in case - it’s always good to have a back up). Thanks for watching! 😀👍
Hi guys loving the video, how do you guys cope with the heat whilst riding, having to wear all the protective clothing is a must but just so hot, do you have any advise. Ride safe.
Thanks Mark! That’s a good question 🥵 it does get really uncomfortable in hot climates and as we’re not prepared to compromise our safety we have to still wear protective gear - I’ve recently invested in a mesh jacket which is brilliant and allows plenty of cool air in 👍 aside from that, getting clothing with as many vents as possible and just lowering the zip in the jacket is pretty much all we do! 👍😀
Great video! It's amazing how nice a petrol station with a café can be when you need a break! How do you manage to have enough energy at the end of the day to get to your room so fast? Usually takes me ages. 😉
Scott C Thanks for your comments! 😀 you’re right, the little things become important- a coffee at the right time can be a life saver! 👍😀☕️ we move really quickly when we need a shower 😂

Hey, thanks guys for the video. I just got back into biking after a few years out and got a sports tourer. My self and my partner are considering a trip to Spain via Plymouth as we live in Devon. So it has been very helpful for us, thank you! What time of the year did you go?
Tom Bailey Thanks for your comments and we can certainly recommend Northern Spain! 👍 We went last week in September and got home early October. It’s still reasonable weather and not as busy. We loved it and we’re sure you will too - hope you have a great trip! 😀
Hi. Love your style of touring and reporting. Very relaxing. Shona and I are going to check out some more of your vids. All power to you s
Thanks very much Stephen! Glad you enjoyed it - hope you like our other adventures and thanks for watching! 😀👍
Great hotel, stayed there last year 😊

We all need our coffee! 😀👍
The local paper Diario de Navarra is printed on one of the presses I sold in Spain made in Preston Lancs.
You sold presses as well? Made in Preston - not far from Blackburn where I was born 😀
