My teenage daughter accidentally put a big kitchen knife into our machine a while ago wrapped in a tea towel she didn't notice. I couldn't get the door open so had to watch and listen to a huge knife banging about and being washed 😂 no damage to the machine which I was shocked about 😂
My Dad was always loosing his glasses. I found them clattering round in our Hoover Logic 1300 after it had finished. Glasses were sparkling and undamanged 😂

Hi. The video was very informative and I found the tap you mentioned in my machine. The thing is I kinda wanted to watch the washing cycle with the door open and pushed back of a spoon into the lock hole of the machine. I managed to lock it but now, I can't release it now. Unfortunately, tap only unlocks, doesn't open the door😢. Please help me, I hope you will🙏

Some manufacturers say it’s a time lock, but really it isn’t. It is just a different type of doorlock (mainly seen on older machines, not really on todays machines) and it basically works in a thermal way if i am right and when the cycle ends it has to cool down to be able to be opened. I’m not really sure, but it’s not an intentional time lock
This happened to me today and I tried everything. I still do not know why the safety/child lock was activated. Bosch Service (France) talked me through the solution for an Advantixx VarioPsrfect 9 years old (1) Turn dial to Off (2) Select a new wash programme but do not attempt to select temperature, etc (3) Press the key button for 6 to 8 seconds (3) Open the door. This worked for me. Good luck!

We tried almost all of the tips given here. Nothing works. Ours is Bosch some model from year 2023 in India. Despite of ll the things shown here, itopens only when the power is on. Funny... We need such emergency open mechanism when there is a power cut whch is common in our country.

I'm not really sure how to help to be honest as the machine should not be operated with the door open as that's just dangerous.
