The Venom Gland potion does -35% debuff to output damage and +20% resistance to physical damage buff permanently. But because of Jinwoo's blessing that breaks down toxin he was left with only the buff effect. Combined with his other blessing Willpower, which activates when his HP is below 50% grants him +50% resistance to all damage bringing his total damage resistance to +70%. Thus effectively tripling his HP. That is the only reason he survived this battle.

I don't know if you understand how the daily quest's rewards work:
He receives all three of them, he does not need to choose only one.
In that case he got the Full Recovery, +10 abilities points to distribute and he got to choose between a Cursed Random Loot Box or a Blessed Random Loot Box.
The Blessed one gives you something you want, the Cursed one gives you something you need.
He chose the Blessed Box and got a key to a S Rank Dungeon which he now believe's contains items that can craft the Elixir of Life that could cure his mother.
Just a tip, this anime is full of visual and quoted cues about a lot of deep information on the narrative. So you should pay lots of attention or you won't understand some things that happen along the way.

He has a skill that reduces all damage by 50% if his health drops below a third. By drinking the poison, it further reduced damage by another 20%. With his new poison neutralize skill, he has no side effects. Also, everyone thinks Cerberus is at most A rank
