hooking into those redfins is quite fun. my favourite lures would have to be the rapalas and the wooly bugger flies. had no success on spinners and they kept following it but never committed in the last minute
haha oh yea i had that happen too many times although its more painful wen a trout does that XD even with the good old rapala. i use a bubble float wen i use my fly on my spinning gear: im terrible at fly fishing XD but i haven't caught a big perch yet so still working hard for that haha
Thanks heaps mate. I am often afraid to make video without action as every time I do people tell me they want to see me catch fish. LOL You are the third people to leave a similar comment on this video...that makes me happy. I will definitely be making more.
best channel for tips and ideas on reddy fishing..most other channels are just watching someone fish with no tips or tricks..redfin here in W.A are not as prolific as eastern states
Hey mate, I will do my best. The only problem with cod in lakes is that the only lake that I ever really fish for cod is Lake Mulwala which is not really an impoundment so to speak.
Your the best Robbin This vid ties right in with my weekend I'm going to lake culluraine this weekend with my kayak hoping to catch a reddie and now I know what lures to use Thanks
Hey Robbie You let the cat out on the best Redfin lure for trolling ever , I have been using them here In West Australia for some years now and are by far the best Redfin lure around They tend to be unforgiving on snags and hard to get out of soft timber , I also find the best is the dark purple called ( Dark Side) as purple is the last colour to that is visible at depth Having said that I thought they didn't work over on your side of the country as I didn't get anything on them when I was there a couple of years back Anyhow love your channel Mate and coming over there to your area in March 18 for a good crack at it !!
peter112999 hahaha that is heaps mate. They sure are an awesome lure. I even trolled a few small Murray cod on one last week! The ks for your kind words and good luck when you visit my area.
Hey mate im extremely new to lure fishing just got my first baitcaster and id like to know what you would use to just catch anything really i live at the top of victoria right on the murray/little murray
Hi mate, that is quite a broad question. In you area, stumpjumper lures are a great start. Number 1 for Murray cod, number 2 for yellowbelly and small number 3 for redfin. If you are fishing the Murray River for cod when the season opens, try using surface lures....best fun ever. I hope this helps mate!
Hey Cody, unfortunately there are not a lot of redfin around Wangaratta. The pond at Merriwa Park that was stocked with trout has a few redfin in it but that's about it. Soft plastics are usually around $10 per bag mate, give or take a little bit depending on brands.
big ron Hey Big Ron great yo hear from you. I will definitely be making more fly fishing videos once the weather warms up and the insect life is much more prolific, particularly grasshoppers.
Cal08 D Hi mate I sure do, more so in the warmer months when there's plenty if grasshoppers around. Hopefully I can get my fly rod out again really soon.
Hi Lachlan I was talking to a nice young guy from Myrtleford last week who has also told me it has been fishing slow. I made a few casts off the bank a few days back and never had a touch, but I was only fishing for about 15 minutes. So I am guessing it is slow mate.
I need help how do I target ur vids I believe they're in clear or crystal clear quality TH-cam servers they seem to love great quality video and audio and I always get them on my phone
Hey even, I know they have a list of stockists on their website, and also sell direct to public. I have a feeling they are $1 per bag dearer if you buy online, so as not to undercut the stockists. www.striketiger.com.au
Yeah, easy enough to mix up dude. Trolling (apart from those hideous creatures that inhabit the internet & make our lives a misery) means to pull a lure thru the water while you boat is moving. Trawling means to drag a NET thru the water. Cheers mate! :o)
Hi Robbie fishing great Video I'm a fellow fishing TH-cam channel and o would like it if u give me a shout out. I asked u last time and u said if i remember so plz
Hi mate I will do my best. I am sorry, but to be 100% honest I get this question roughly 50 times a week. The best thing to do is wait until I make a live video and leave me a comment so that I can do it then and there as I do get a bit 'lost; while trying to keep up!
I apologize to anybody who may have watched this twice. I am having a few youtube issues at the moment and had to re-upload!
robbiefishing i was wondering why it got deleted before i watched it, great video mate im gonna go to bcf tomorrow with this advice
haha thanks mate! Yeah TH-cam is doing some funny things to us creators at the moment! It is a glitch that hopefully they can iron out pretty soon!
hooking into those redfins is quite fun. my favourite lures would have to be the rapalas and the wooly bugger flies. had no success on spinners and they kept following it but never committed in the last minute
Hey mate, don't you just hate it when that happens! LOL I enjoy catching redfin on fly too. I am not very good at it, but I enjoy it. LOL
haha oh yea i had that happen too many times although its more painful wen a trout does that XD even with the good old rapala. i use a bubble float wen i use my fly on my spinning gear: im terrible at fly fishing XD but i haven't caught a big perch yet so still working hard for that haha

Timothy Coleiro Hey Tim thanks heaps mate. I actually do have one on my channel from a few years ago.
hey my man robbie whats the closest and best place to try for red fin?
they look fun to target! and what are prices of the soft plastics
Hey Cody, unfortunately there are not a lot of redfin around Wangaratta. The pond at Merriwa Park that was stocked with trout has a few redfin in it but that's about it. Soft plastics are usually around $10 per bag mate, give or take a little bit depending on brands.

Cal08 D Hi mate I sure do, more so in the warmer months when there's plenty if grasshoppers around. Hopefully I can get my fly rod out again really soon.
Hey Robbie just wondering how is lake buffalo fishing at the moment last hols I went fishing and it was slow
Hi Lachlan I was talking to a nice young guy from Myrtleford last week who has also told me it has been fishing slow. I made a few casts off the bank a few days back and never had a touch, but I was only fishing for about 15 minutes. So I am guessing it is slow mate.

Nice vid mate
Thanks heaps Brayden.
Hey Robbie would I get in trouble if I put it in a fish tank it’s 8 ft and 2ft wide
Jack jasionek Hey Jack, put what in a fish tank buddy?
robbiefishing Redfin
Jack jasionek Hey mate It's actually against the law to be in possession of live redfin, which means that you can't put it in a bucket to relocate it.
robbiefishing ok just wondering didn’t wanna get in trouble
Love your content Robbie
Thanks heaps Jack!
LOYAL SUPPORRTER HERE!!! Its all good!💯💪👊LET'S GO!!! Stay on top!

Barry McDonald Thanks heaps Barry.
My local doesn’t stock those brands. Is there a link to an online store mate?
www.striketiger.com.au/ this should help they come from Tasmania but postage is reasonable.
Hey even, I know they have a list of stockists on their website, and also sell direct to public. I have a feeling they are $1 per bag dearer if you buy online, so as not to undercut the stockists. www.striketiger.com.au
Awesome thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Going to have a crack this weekend for some trout mostly
After watching this I bought strike tiger soft plastics. Nothing works better in my dam then them
Will earthworms work?
Not telling you HOW to suck eggs Rob but trolling & trawling are not the same thing! :o)
Urban Fisho hahaha I think it is the way I was brought up to pronounce it.
Yeah, easy enough to mix up dude.
Trolling (apart from those hideous creatures that inhabit the internet & make our lives a misery) means to pull a lure thru the water while you boat is moving. Trawling means to drag a NET thru the water.
Cheers mate! :o)
Culchie people pronounce it trawling!
I like switchblades Redfin smash them
