Joe Cornish, irrelevant! Who knew? Thanks Simon for having Joe on and congratulations on your coming duo exhibition. Every time you have Joe on your channel you can be sure I'll be watching. But I enjoy watching everything you do. Thanks! Cheers from the woodlands of East Texas.
Brilliant news Simon...more than deserved after all your efforts and a brilliant partnership with Joe (and you know I'm a bit of a Cornish fan !!). I'll try and find an excuse to be somewhere near Yorkshire at the time.
I am so very happy for you both! I know of no other woodland artists that deserve this more. Ansel was right "The harder you work, the luckier you get".
Beautiful video, wish I could attend, but I'm too far away. Congratulations to you both for this remarkable event!!!! And as a J. R. R. Tolkien lover, I will say goodbye with a hug to all those beautiful Ents 🌲🌳 you will show
Beautiful video, with two great authors that I respect. I too feel the same identical feelings and thoughts when I go to photograph the woods, I imagine their stories between nature and folklore. Always excellent quality your content.
Hi Simon: Thanks for creating and sharing this video. I wish I could see this exhibition in person. That being said, I just returned from spending 2 weeks photographing on Vancouver Island and much of this was spent on the ancient forest of Douglas Firs. I felt very humbled in being in this space. I am looking forward to future content on this event. While we will be in the UK in the early summer of 2022, we won't be there during your exhibition. Best of luck! Cheers, Keith (Canada)
Many thanks, James! Judging by how exciting I found my own little exhibition, I think I might either combust or collapse with exhaustion with this one ;)
@@SimonBaxterPhotography that’s how it should be. Lots to look forward and be enthusiastic about. Certainly a proud moment for you and your journey. Well done.
Well this is rather wonderful news! What a great woodland exhibition this will be of both your fabulous work. I've found such peace and happiness over the past year in the woodland throughout my ill health. I can really attest to the healing and therapeutic effect the trees and woodlands have on us. Would love to see the exhibition in person, have mobility walker will travel! 🌿🌳😊
That sounds like a wonderful exhibition and associated events. Mrs T and I will hope for good health so we can make a road trip - it's been far too long since we visited the NY Moors!
Ive been hooked to this video throughout. So many interesting points raised and really well explained. Would love to see more of this stuff. Beautiful location as well. I'm surrounded by woodlands and find myself at ease when I'm out in nature. It makes such a difference. Ive taken a month out of TH-cam to this day as I have just let myself flow with my video. I feel if I have nothing interesting to discuss then it doesn't motivate me to make anything but on this video its inspired me to get back out there Simon. Really well put together and some great questions. Thank you for sharing.
@@SimonBaxterPhotography You’re welcome. It was really interesting Simon. So many creators I follow including yourself I’m glad I found this video. I would love to see more of this. Massively inspiring. Really enjoyed watching it. Cheers Simon!
An incredible set of photographs and nicely presented! Simon, can you please shortly comment on the (oak?) wood frames used for the exhibition? Are these commercially available or custom made? Many thanks.
Fantastic Simon. I use to get up to the Moors every Summer, but haven’t been able to the last three years. What better motivation could there be. I love to visit Joe’s gallery whilst I’m up there too. BTW the 11th Sept is a Sunday, did you mean ending on the 10th?
That beautiful moment where Joe tells you that you inspired him to get back into woodland photography...you've been an inspiration to a great many people you'll never know about, I'm absolutely sure. I've said it before and will say it again, you've been a big inspiration for me to embrace woodland photography - it was something I'd unconsciously put in the too hard basket, and have now (thankfully!) pulled it out of there, as amongst the trees is definitely one of my favourite places to be. Woods do really seem to connect with people...I find on my modest little youtube channel that it's my episodes in rainforests and woods that people most enjoy...possibly because of my own enjoyment or maybe it's a deep longing inside many of us to spend time amongst the trees. Your exhibition looks wonderful - I really wish I could cross the oceans from Australia to experience it - it would be fantastic seeing both yours and Joe's prints in the flesh. Thank you Simon for the joy and inspiration you bring to so many by sharing your love of woods! 🙏
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Lisa. It's great to hear that you're enjoying woodland photography and sharing that joy with others. All the best 😀
I really hope that one of the special events is an Entmoot! Guest talks such as 'Fangorn the Early Years' by Treebeard or 'Isengard - Before and After' - by Saruman?
8:44 Woooff that’s powerful . Joe’s beautiful positive being, so loving and calm when he speaks.. “ sense of self centered yet drops away..” . [wish he was my brother:] ahhh 2022! Simon will u and Joe be doing photographic workshops ?
Oh for mist…most of the images shown appeared to rely on mist to add depth to the photo. How to achieve this in a location where mists don’t occur? All the best for the exhibition.
@@SimonBaxterPhotography Hahaha deal! You already got me on that wagon with your wily, geared ways. P.S. if he’s Treebeard he’ll be very annoyed that your photographs of trees are printed on paper. He will find that most disturbing. P.P.S. Does that make you Merry?
Fabulous! You could not find a better partner. Best wishes for every success Simon.
Thank you very much, Frank :)
Best wishes for your Exhibition Joe & Simon 👍
Can't wait...
Wish I could see the show, great video simon, thanks for sharing.
Hi Simon. Fantastic news ! It will be a real pleasure to meet you and Joe. Can't wait for more info.
I very much look forward to this. I wish you every success with it.

Much appreciated, Nigel. Hope you make it 😁
This has made my day. Wishing you the very best of luck. I can’t wait.
Marvelous news for all of us who get so much from the tranquility of woodlands and looking forward to visiting already. 👏
Definitely whetted my appetite there Simon and look forward to attending and seeing yours and Joe’s work, that I know will be stunning.
Thank you very much, John. We look forward to seeing you!!
Fantastic news Simon and Joe 👏👏👏
Well done Simon. I'm going to come to exhibition. Regards
How cool and exciting! Congratulations to you and to Joe; sure it's going to be amazing.
Excellent news and always a pleasure to listen to Joe as well as you. Best to you on your joint adventure. It should be great.
Excellent news Simon (&Joe) It’s going to be EPIC👌 I’m really pleased for you (you looked pretty pleased too) see you soon.
Cheers
Many thanks, Adrian. Look forward to seeing you there with cake 😁🍰

Excellent video.
Congratulations to you both on the exhibition.
Fascinating project Simon and really looking forward to hearing more from you and Joe on it.
I heard Joe Cornish speak at the Photographic Society of New Zealand annual convention in Dunedin about 3 years ago and I still value his inspiration.
So looking forward to seeing a collaboration with my two heroes of photography.
That's very kind, thank you :)
Exciting! Will definitely try and get there!

A date for the diary! I'll have to see if I can get to that, real prints are a real treat to see. :-) Will Meg be signing pawtographs?? ;-)
Haha, she'll certainly have to make an appearance :)
All the best for this collaboration, hope it all goes well! But, watching you walk through the woods without Meg, it seems weird!
It feels weird too :(

Ok, time to save up some money. West Coast of Sweden to Yorkshire, it's not that far🤔
Not too far at all. Easily done :-D
I’m only coming if you and Joe dress as trees
Joe already looks a bit like Treebeard so it won't be difficult. You're only allowed in if you dress as a tripod and your head is adjustable.
