Reading classic English novels I've wondered what the moors actually look like. Poor Tess. Jane finding her way and happiness. Heathcliff calling out for Catherine.

It's funny that so many times, as you were trying to get the right picture for you-I was seeing lovely pictures right behind you. All I want is overcast weather. So pretty. Thanks

Great video. I'll have to visit Staithes. Quite lovely. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to visit the moors in winter (the end of December). If anyone has any advice for me, or could tell me what to expect of the moors during that time of year... I'd be greatly appreciative.

Slight Correction, Roseberry Topping is the North east of North York’s. Near Stokesly and Great Ayton.

"ecky thump" was/is a mock/spoof martial art that involves using a black pudding as a weapon, it is from the 1970's tv show the goodies therefore shows terence walshes age and it is supposed to hail from Lancashire not yorkshire

what does that mean, my flatmate used to ask me assuming I would know since I'm from Whitby, but I'd never heard of it.

In a land like that you would think they would host big mud bogging events there.
