    Free Trade has been a failure for decades, even when we are right, we lose to the USA. Now trade is not even free between provinces. The feds saw new ways to tax goods within our own borders. Thanks Brian.

    The epitome of discrimination:
    “They are extremists who don’t believe in science, they’re often misogynists, also often racists. It’s a small group that muscles in, and we have to make a choice in terms of leaders, in terms of the country. Do we tolerate these people?”
    Justin Trudeau

    Sold off half of Canada’s passenger railway with almost 3000 jobs gone, brought in NAFTA with no public referendum destroying Canadian manufacturing and sending the good paying jobs overseas, and privatized Petro Canada leaving our oil sands foreign owned.
    That’s his legacy.

    The "Robust" Digital Safety Commissioner should be a qualified lawyer and not some elected official who is granted extraordinary powers that can be abused to the determent of public safety and rights !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    China Chin - ever remembered for taking on Seniors in his first year as PM . . . . . . and losing. Ever remembered (his missus as well) in the book "On the Take' and the 14 Pantechnicons filled with 'possessions' when leaving 24 Sussex. (If Mulroney don't sue, its gotta be true!). Ever remembered for his acceptance of $300,000 in cash from Karl-Heinz and his self-righteous attempted Tax Dodge by 'reserving' rather than declaring it as income. Ever remembered for opening up Canada's wealth-producing resources for the Chinese to purchase. Ever remembered for his ready tendency for extravagant rhetoric
    ("Mr M seems overly fond of the adjective" - Lady Thatcher). Ever remembered with Peter Newman's legally UNchallenged "The Mulroney Tapes" . . . . . and that's for starters!

      I remember that clip where the Grandma lady was berating him to his face for wanting to mess with seniors pensions. After that he claimed seniors pensions from the government was a "sacred trust".

    Today’s Conservative party has fallen a long way. Mulroney wasn’t great, but at least he had a coherent vision for Canada. Now it’s just yell stupid insults and say anything which gets a few clicks.

    I haven't been this sad and upset since Ed Broadbent died. When I heard Mulroney passed away, I called my psychiatrist to increase my medications and took a bereavement day off work to mourn. As he was so cherished, I don't think the country can move on.

    • @traviscutler9912
      @traviscutler9912 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ed was a good man who cared about this country and other people
      Mulroney was a traitor to this country and sold us out with NAFTA, it caused the literal destruction of the Canadian middle class, endless layoffs. I'm sure many deaths of despair and suicide as a result of Mulroney's deal to sell out Canadian workers. He destroyed the future for us, our children, our grandchildren and the great promise that was Canada.
      Unforgivable.

    Looking back Canada felt he was going away Canada but now that I am older and understand the trade agreement he made we can be thankful for his contribution to this country. He came from a humble background like most Canadians and we felt close to him. I remember him as being very approachable and let’s be humble in our tribute to him. He was a good man, father and husband. He was one of our greatest Prime Minister. He had time to help the other prime minister with his advice and expertise. Rest in heavenly peace Brian

      Yes. For anti-science, anti-expert populists, voting for the NDP is a good choice. After all, the NDP is extremely critical of the socio-economic outcomes of the Nordic social democracies in northern Europe.
