Back for its eighth edition, San Diego's CRSSD Festival has released the first phase of its fall 2018 line-up.
The bi-annual San Diego event has solidified its reputation as one of California's top electronic music occasions, taking place across the San Diego Bay Waterfront for two days of sunny house and techno bliss. Continuously developing their commitment to bringing top-notch electronic acts to Southern California, the lineup for this year's edition is possibly its best to date.
Showcasing all various shades of house music, fans can expect to get down to acts such as Dusky, Anti Up (Chris Lake b2b Chris Lorenzo), AC Slater b2b Jack Beats, Claptone, Will Clarke, Thomas Jack, Darius Live and Detlef.
On the techno front, the festival will bring in hard-hitting and beloved artists like Nina Kraviz, John Digweed, Chris Liebing b2b Len Faki, Mind Against, Matador live, and Helena Hauff.

I asked him many years ago on a music forum about the shyness thing and he told me it was because he believes the music should be the star not the DJ. To this day he always puts artists and tracks as the focus of his craft. Im glad I discovered this guy so many years ago!

Well i think its diggers, not many face shots or of him mixing-guess 1 step at a time!! Oh, and still prob the best mixer out there!.

I don't understand what he hears or senses or imagines or programs into his mind; if he thinks about it constantly or it's just innate , but he is genius with putting music together that maybe nobody else thinks of but his transitions Always work and get you moving, mind blowing and off to another world. Second to None is Digweed!!!
For me, Sasha and Digweed excited me most in electronic music. True pioneers that always stayed ahead of trends. Love Digweeds dark style and his mixing is unreal. Much love John, still listening after 15 year! ❤️

Best thing to hit my ears in 2018. If there was one DJ I could ever see it will be Digweed_with Sasha of course. Transitions pretty much ruled my life from 2010-2012. Thanks Mixmag!!!!!!!

Digweed is a fruit best tasted in a dark club with a crisp sound system with him playing for at least 4 hours. His Bedrock parties he hosts himself in London are pretty much as good as it’s gets IMO of course.
Saw him and Sasha during the Delta Heavy tour in Vegas years back. That was epic. I've seen him 6-7 times now and he never disappoints!
Saw digweed in dc this past summer I couldn’t stop dancing. Brought back old times . I had a blast !!!

I've seen this man spin so many times I can't even guess how many. For me I been seeing him at raves since 1993 till present day at clubs in cities around the U.S. but mainly LA. I saw him spin a 8 hour set in LA about two years ago, it was awesome! John Digweed=House/Techno Legend. I love taking dancing Digweed journeys! I'm about due....

I got my first taste of Diggers on his and Sasha's "Last Friday of the Month" residency at Twilo in NYC in say 1999. Holy Crap I was hooked. I had already had his GUs and Think his 1st bedrock mix had just dropped as well. I Always danced my ass off at Twilo but Especially when he was on. The Vortex and Master I believe came into his own when Sasha had that mysterious ear injury in Ibiza and Diggers had to carry the show. I think it was the 4th anniversary in March of 2001 that was absolutely bonkers. Dark, Nasty, just the way I like it.

yknow what as much as I like the idea behind an all house and techno festival, I think promotions like crssd are fucking up the scene a bit. this is john digweed, one of the figureheads of the true timeless underground. and yet every time i return to the festival it feels like im just surrounded by bougie people who just want to look and dress in a certain style that crssd promotes. that sort of pretentiousness is the opposite of what guys like digweed represent. felt more like a mini coachella than it did a house show tbh
This is an INCREDIBLE set, so many people just 'standing' and enjoying. DANCE!!
