They sell cars then make them. Basically, with the exception of demo models, everything they make is already sold. This seems to be an alien concept for some investors which is strange since most commercial vehicle sales are done this way.
I suspect its because they never invested in the auto industry before and EVs are still new enough for this to be rare in that market.

@@Stuff_And_Things100% agree. Also, If they build 20,000 cars before they have all the kinks worked out they are then recalling all those cars. That would most likely lead to bankruptcy. If you listen, they have a plan.

Have you been listening to earnings calls? Production acceleration is their last plan. They are working on supply chain management. You are clearly disconnected from managements commetary

Looking into the future, These will not be affected by supply chain issues. You already have drive by wire. Are you working on Full Self Driving? I'm thinking Robotaxi. Are you thinking about, or working on a version, without steering wheel and peddles? are you working on features like Smart Summon, Sentry, Or Energy Consumption. in case the car is sitting and the battery is getting low. Will there be a option for solar panels, not to move the vehicle, but to keep the battery from dying from sentry mode. Are there other features we would like to hear about?
