"finished 3 quilts this weekend" ..... OMG. Been quilting for 63 years. Never took less than a year... one going on 40... I curtsey in your specific direction. )))
Thank you for sharing what you do with larger “scraps” which are just leftovers from your quilt backings. Looks like you mainly sort by colour and I am interested in watching your upcoming video about hue etc. so have Subscribed. ❤
As a quilter we have all this fabric in random pieces. Now I am on a mission to help other quilters use those pieces in a unique creative way. Satisfying the need for making something beautiful and experimenting on new ideas.
I like your enthusiasm. I feel like this video is not titled correctly. I was expecting to see actual sorting and the techniques you use. I know I can use my scrap/leftover fabric. And I really need to. LOL. Also, why are you specifying that the fabric is leftover from backs? My backs are made from the same fabrics as my quilt tops. Trying to learn it all. Thanks for showing us all of the beautiful fabrics you have.
Since most of my scraps are from charity quilts this box represents those particular quilts. Now some pieces are bigger than most and some are too small and I have to enlarge. If I pull out a quilt to be quilted and the back just doesn't go I make a new one. The rule of quilt backs to be longarmed is 4" on each side. If I were to quilt these on my domestic machine then 2" on all sides is more than enough. I have made very scrappy quilt backs for variation. It really depends on the quilt top. This almost makes the quilt reversible. I have more videos coming on what to do with those scraps, be it from backs or the top.
As a very new quilter (I haven’t made a quilt but I am going to & this was very helpful
Welcome to the quilting club. I have lots of block videos for starters. Questions just ask, I am here to help and encourage.

Thank you❤
you are so welcome, enjoy
I also use orphan blocks in my quilt backs to make "reversible" quilts😂
One of my favorite ways to use up orphan blocks. They make excellent additions to back.
Just found you and subscribed :) now to go back and watch your other videos:)
Thank you and enjoy. Let me know what you find interesting.
Yep me toooo🥰❤️😀
@@rachelburgener819 We all have them, now to find new ways to use them up.
