As much as I'd like to see you vlogging on holiday, My little vote is for you to take s break. We'll cope and you'll hopefully be all the better for the holiday and the pause. Cheers.
Lovely treat having a tour of the land and seeing the animals you’ve gotten loads done , it will look fabulous as the trees mature 😊 your Daughter is a dab hand at driving that tractor ! Well done on the reversing and not ending up in the ditch ! We are a nosy lot of course we want to see everything 😂
Great vid! So happy to see you teaching your daughter how to operate the machinery!! I grew up on a farm and was driving everything by 12 years old... If she's that responsible now, she will be so far ahead of her compatriots in the future!! Good job Dad!!
Nice update Bruce! Thank you! You are lucky to have all that land and nature outside your door, even if it comes with a LOT of work! Good move on the dishwasher! Love your guitar work on Silver Spear! Love your friend’s nice flute playing, too. There’s nothing like having some tunes! Well done young man! Lots of progress! 👏👏👏🎶🎶🎶
You've so much done Bruce & family👏👏👏 it takes me 3 goes to finally get it right; very few of us get it right first time😂 as for the fly tipping going on up your road, u shouldn't have to pay for other people's rubbish, check with Clare Co council, myself & my husband did litter picks when we lived in Meath & the County Council supplied bags & litter pickers for everyone involved & then collected the rubbish we picked which was quite a lot as it was a beach & sand dune pick up. Also, there is an 'Adopt a road' programme you could check out online to see if Clare Co Council are involved.
What a wonderful video, it’s so nice to see how it’s all come along. You and Annie were our inspiration on moving to Ireland back in 2022. I, for one would love a video on how not to start a homestead before we most likely go on to make all the same mistakes lol. The pathway to the yurt looks great too. So many times we do jobs that we have put off and they take so little time you wonder why you didn’t do it in the first place. I had to nod in agreement with the land where you say if you jump you can feel it all move beneath you as ours is the same too. It’s a weird sensation isn’t it? Cabinets in the bedrooms look bloody great well done! Yay for the dishwasher! We love it when Annie features…she always makes us chuckle! I’ll say it again really good vlog really enjoyed it. ❤ ooh ooh almost forgot well done to Elsie for driving the tractor she did a great job with the stone 😊
Love how you aknowlege all the mistakes. I am a few years behind, but making mistakes daily. But learning! Thanks for the content. Fellow Clare homesteader!
The land and pathway looks brilliant and great job with your daughter driving and helping fill the potholes. Hoping the dishwasher did the job and lovely session in the end. Enjoy your holiday Bruce and Annie and your girls will Mind the house
I’ve jumped in recently and have trouble with chronological order. I would love to see the inside of the house before and after if you’ve already done that, please direct me to where I can find it because I’d love to see that. Love the music 🎼 😊
Thanks Éamonn. Been here still. Just been a bit slack on the filming. Hoping to get a few more vids out per month now. Lots happening in the background
Great tune great tractor driving by Elsie too I know you've done a Q&A for the property but don't think you said how much it cost would be interesting to know what you get n for how much, but ofc if you don't want to say that's fine too 🤗
Hi Bruce great video, at about 12.32ish on the film you mention the horse spike is that the proper name for them? could do with some myself but googling brings nothing could they be known as something else? kind regards Terry
Great video Bruce. Lots of work done in only a few years. I'm based in Clare myself and have problems with pine martins. I was wondering what type of electric fencing you are using for your chicken run ? Thanks
I have Voss poultry farm netting. Great stuff but easy to tangle. I also have my 2 bigger dogs out until all are locked away and I have an automatic door on the hen house. Made the coup fox and pine marten proof.
Thanks Bruce I’ll check out the Voss netting👍🏻 I think Gallagher’s do something similar. Yeah sounds like you have the coop properly predator proof. Definitely needed for the pine martin. Lovely creatures but they are deadly when it come ls to poultry. I’ve seen your videos on making the coop and also the one with your automated door, nice one.
Another top video mate. Really enjoyed the land tour. It's come on so much in the time you've been there! Do you get to see much wildlife there? I expect you do. Love the jam at the end there too! Bet he was out of breath by the end of it 😂
Learning how to operate a tractor and its various implements at a young age is as valuable as learning how to read.
Totally. She’s a great help
Absolutely, one of those many life skills are only being thought in home education.
He is a grand piper!
He is
❤
Merci pour le concert en fin de vidéo , une mamie de Bretagne 😘

Great tour of the land Bruce, the tune at the end was brilliant 👏👏
Thanks Keith 🙏

You should get solar powered electric fencer units
I would like one. They are pretty expensive
This was a very enjoyable update. Look after yourself Bruce.

Good wood is expensive in Canada as well!
I’m sure it is but you guys have some lovely quality timber I’d love to get my hands on :)
Thanks for catching us up!! Really enjoyed seeing all the land 🎉🎉🎉
My pleasure. It was nice to walk round paying attention to what change has happened
Love your channel Bruce. We moved from the UK to rural Sligo 7 weeks ago. You’re welcome to come visit 😉

I’m happy to say but we got the place for an unbelievable price and since the derelict grant prices have gone through the roof. We paid 125
Splendid path. So why didn’t you make it a year ago 😅😊

Hi Bruce great video, at about 12.32ish on the film you mention the horse spike is that the proper name for them? could do with some myself but googling brings nothing could they be known as something else? kind regards Terry
Pvc fence spikes I guess. If you go to your local agri store they would have them. Get the tall ones
Annie giving ye a bit of grief for doing nothing 😂😂😂 she works you know 😂😂😂
😂

Aww sad😢
They tree’s look like they are planted very close in that middle field. No room to grow.
