  • I have a Brent C pottery wheel, which I love, but I find that fitting the splash pan can be a bit of a pain. It seems to take ages to line it up and click it into place. I found a simple trick to help fit the two parts together without any wiggling or forcing the splash pan into place. This is what I do now...

Can you talk about the hand tools you use? Especially the ones for smoothing and finishing. Love your videos!

It's a Brent wheel. They are great wheels, it's just the splash pan can be a bit tricky to get on. 🙂

If you spend so much you don’t expect the splash pan to fail though! Thank you. I’ll avoid Brent and will buy from a company who will replace my pan if it’s built so badly it breaks!

My local studio has the same ones, Ive found its easiest to not use the tabs as they are intended and instead take the side of the well and bring it up and then out.
that might make no sense but i hope yours dont break again!

It seems like a design flaw to have something like that relly on a tab and not some sort of latch, screw, clip, etc
Tabs aren't great if they're meant to be snapped on/off alot

Can I recommend using vaseline instead, WD40 over time will make the plastic brittle, WD40 will actually swell rubber seals and make plastic brittle
