  • In this video we discuss the importance of the Compensator Calibration for your Trimble robotic total station. We discuss when this calibration should be performed, how to check the electronic level to determine if it is needed and demonstrate the procedure to do the calibration.

Great video! Where can I find one of those Trimble hats??? I've asked and only received cheap quality poop.

The video is quite interesting but you must update it including the other two collimations that follow the first one since on the internet there is absolutely no video about it. I have in S5 and I have noticed that when I park it and level it at 0" in a matter of minutes both the Muñon and the vertical are decompensated up to 48" and I want to know what this is due to and what affects Precision stakeouts so much.

The instruments drift in the best of scenarios. You should consider where you're setting up; vibrations, temperature and ground conditions will all cause the instrument to drift. Some days, you'll need to re-level and check to your backsight several times depending on these circumstances.
