The fact they went out of there way to make the past pokemon so much larger and the future pokemon smaller its a nice touch to show how technology has evolved even IRL where back then everything was big and bulky and now even today everything now slim and more compact, slim and easier to use.
also the past pokemon being larger could also being a reference to back in prehistoric times where everything was much larger due to the CO2 being 4x higher back then. to what we have today.
I played Scarlet, but I feel like the themes of the game work a little better with Violet. We’ve seen Pokemon visit the idea of the distant past in quite a few ways prior to this game, but the distant future is a new, fresh and tantalizing theme. What are those machine-like Pokémon, really? Why do they exist? Are they weapons? Augmented cyborg-like Pokémon? Who made them and why? It’s really cool…
Although, I really like Sada and her design centered around wild and primal forces, too. The ancient Pokémon have really interesting designs as well, which is why I chose Scarlet. What I really hope is that the anime finds a way to make /both/ Scarlet and Violet’s antagonists into some kind of messed up past/future obsessed power couple and we just see chaos. That’d be fun!
They could do a thing where they remove the AI part and have one of the professors be alive and do the time machine story and the other takes the AI and Arvin's place and helps us go against the evil professor.
i played both, and i agree. i just really like violet’s aesthetic. it just makes sense, in a region that’s a lot different from others, to introduce even bigger shocking aspects. besides, i love the led texture on the pokemon. i wonder how their transform went? if they cant breed, how are new pokemon born? is it a post apocalypse?
I've played both games but enjoyed Violet's end game plot more. I like the idea of prehistoric Pokemon but Pokemon from billions of years in the future made a lasting impression on me.
@@nickt.2238 The theory these days seems to be that both the past and future Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet aren’t actually “real”. I kind of like that more than anything, honestly. It’s a fun twist on the idea of them being “paradoxical”; they may have been created by Area Zero itself in response to the desires of its explorers to find the cryptid-like creatures described in journals and such. It kind of makes sense, especially with the nonsensical and inconsistent dex entries that all the Paradox pokemon have. Especially the future ones! Like the Hydreigon falling in love with a robot explanation is a little too silly to be actually plausible, but it works perfectly if you consider that Area Zero spawned it because of the theories and desires of people to see that strange, fantastic future.
I wouldn’t mind seeing *real* “far-future” pokemon in later installments if that really does turn out to be the case, though.

I can guess the whole fight would reset and your Pokemon healed back up...or your ass is right back to the last visited Pokemon Center.
You respawn at the bed that’s right next to the elevator. No idea what happens if you lose during paradise protocol though, maybe you just can’t lose there
@@givemeyourphone2707 I heard you indeed can't loose during the Paradise Protection Protocol fight segment.
@Michael O'Keefe thank God for that because miraidons moveset was garbage, meanwhile the other one had hyperbeam like wth
@@MichaelOKeefe2009 makes sense, there’s no way to “lose” there unless intentionally so they probably just made miraidon/koraidon “tough it out” each time after the initial hyper beam
@@givemeyourphone2707 I'm sure that if you purposely hacked the game to make Koraidon/Miraidon lose, you would be respawn back to the bed in the lab and start all over again...that's both fights BTW.
Man I'm 30 been playing since gen 1 nothing in the series made my heart drop like seeing my pokemon are locked in their balls gen 9 seriously outdid itself with story feel so bad for Arven like he didn't know his dad was dead for over a decade
SAME! I've played since Pokemon Blue and Red on Gameboy and Pokemon Stadium on N64, I'm happy the devs made a serious storyline. The Pokemon Mystery Dungeons had sad scenes too but wow this one was something else. Arven's parent's gender changes depending on if you're playing Pokemon Violet or Scarlet, so in Scarlet it's his mom which is also extremely depressing too.
@@BAIGAMING Oh wow I didn't know the parent changed between games that's intense. I hope they can keep this up last game I played was X before this kinda fell in and out of the series over the years
