Yemaya Assessu | Chant for the Goddess of the Ocean & Honouring Sacred Waters

Here, I sing the Yoruba chant "Yemaya Assessu" for the Goddess of the Ocean, in my own interpretation using a melody that came to heart, by a stream of water, that you can hopefully hear in the background. ♥︎
It is said that this song is a celebration of the moment when the river meets the ocean and honouring Yemaya, the Goddess of the ocean and the mother of all Goddesses. This chant takes root from the Yoruba people, an ethnic group that inhabits western Africa.
I'm so excited that with this warmer weather, I can begin filming outside again! This really makes my heart sing.
