Nothing against bodybuilders up today it's just a different thing. Back then all of these guys with superstars All well-known all in magazines. Today if you are a top level National competitor you have to be earning a pro card which is a lot more giving out to even have your name mentioned. A lot of great bodybuilders never even made a pro card the list is endless. NPC was like these guys will literally Superstars when they turned Pro. I can't even think of all the guys names Over The Last 5 Years. Again I'm not taking anything away from anybody I'm just saying it seems to be a lot more water down now

I really have been enjoying your videos. I appreciate your time and I read what you wrote on the beginning of one of them I appreciate it very much. These guys were like my Idols growing up. I grew up in the 80s and 90s. Born in the 70s so I know all these guys names and faces.

Phenomenal 110% I get it! The young uns would look at these fabulous physiques & respect but modern superstars are much bigger. Light heavies... Classic of todays pro's weight wise?

We met porter at a show my friend promoted back in the day...the Capital City in Columbia SC..., he was telling us how he took winstrol year round and other stuff "you can take year round".

Peter McGough who used to be Editor & Chief at Flex Magazine in it's heyday said online that Porter in shape had a quality kind of like Dorian that didn't translate in pictures and video. Probably genetically very thin skin as a guess. In his and Kevin Levrone's 1st pro contest Porter won & Kevin came in 2nd. The 212 class or Classic would have been his home now days. The guys just got too big for a 205 pound Porter. Interesting story, but I hate to hear he didn't clean his whole system for a few months at least once a year. He was really good for his weight.

Yes, I heard from the late Dr. Kerr that Winstrol is weak and can be taken a long time.

For me this was the greatest amateur show ever. 4 out of 5 in the Heavyweight went pro too: 1, Levrone 2, Flex 3, Quadzilla 4 Coleman 5, Mendenhall. Those In this show alone bagged 8 Olympias, 7 Arnold Classics and 4 Night of Champions never mind many other titles.
