This is one of those fights where I dont envy the judges. Not a fight where you can argue one fighter held a bunch or ran and “flurried” for the last 20 seconds of a round (Hagler was robbed!!!!), but a great fight between 2 greats!
Actually that was my initial thought as well. After rewatching multiple times and after editing this video, I came to the conclusion that the decision was correct. Beterbiev landed more meaningful punches, while Bivol's does not have any effect. Bivol fought like an amateur trying to win on points while Beterbiev came to knock him out. And I believe he will knock out Bivol if ever the rematch pushes through
@@boxinghighlights6790I agree that, essentially, Bivol never stopped AB from pressing the fight. But Bivol has always been a “technical” type of boxer, and not sure why you think Bivol would likely be eKO’d if they had a rematch. Great fight where 2 greats came to fight.
around rounds 4 and 5 when Beterbiev made adjustments, you can clearly see that he neutralized most of Bivol's tactics. Once he got the timing of Bivol and once he realized that the Bivol's power is not a serious threat, he just bullied him all the way. So starting round 13 in the rematch, I seriously think he would get to Bivol much faster than he did here.
@ I can see where you are coming from. Agree 100%, though, on AB just controlling the ring and just pressing non-stop. I know I’m a bit biased, I really like Bivol, but, I have to believe, Bivols camp would see what we all saw and adjust their own game plan as well. After this fight, I would have to give the edge to AB in any rematch. A KO, though…
@@jeffberndt8699 Coming in to the fight I am Bivol biased as well. But then again I am a realist. Sure it is possible to adjust to every Beterbiev tactics in the rematch Pacquiao vs Bradley style. But given Bivol's age as well, I highly doubt it. But well see in the rematch. sooner rather than later I hope
he clearly went there to KO Bivol while Bivol was there to win on points. He landed more meaningful blows than Bivol. He would've KO'd him if there was another round
Do you agree with the decision? Or do you think this was a robbery or should've been a draw at least?

surely deserving of a rematch... hopefully we get it sooner rather than later because of Beterbiev's age
Yes of cource 100%
agree with the decision or you think it was a robbery?
I have to watch the full fight. Highlight clips can be misleading, but i thought it was Bivol who won from your video.

Beterbiev didn't clearly win, didn't land that many punches and never knocked Bivol down. Should have been a draw. The decision is a joke

This was a draw!!!
in most people's eye yes it is. Hopefully we'll get a rematch sooner rather than later
What a boring fight
Agreed. Styles make fights and their styles aren't exciting against one another
