As one of your older viewers (70), I can attest to the idea that positivity and hope help in the healing process! I have a multitude of chronic co-morbid health issues and at times it can seem so hopeless but when I conjure up some hope and positivity I actually start doing better (as shown in blood tests etc.) Your program has helped me quite a bit through the last four seasons so thank you so much!😎

Hey there, 48-year-old here who loves to watch Get Real! I can relate to a lot of what you guys talk about. And it's always helpful to know what your generation thinks and feels about certain things since I have kids the same age (roughly). My oldest is around Junny's age. Don't count us "old farts" out yet. 😆

You would be surprised! K-pop fans are all ages, and yes, some of us enjoy your show no matter our age! I'm 50. You guys have some good insights, especially in your industry, which too often does NOT talk about "real" things. Your show is unique in that way. Keep up the good work!
To answer the question of how far your viewer demographic reaches, it goes much farther than 42. I am an older person and when I was younger always swore I would never be my parents and criticize everything that wasn't in line with what I knew or thought. So I enjoy your podcast because I like to see what the newest generatioin is thinking about. It's just nice to try and see life from a different perspective and to be honest, sometimes it can be a bit alarming that people believe some of the things they do and it does sometimes irritate me at how clueless they are about the past. Overall though, and in particular when it comes to music, having an open mind and seeing what is new and evolving makes life much more enjoyable. So thanks guysfor helping me to better understand todays world.
It's okay Ashley, you're not alone with the plastic thing. I once bought a beauty facial mask. Mind you it's my first time. Went to the hotel room, open up the packaging, put it on my face. Minutes passed, I literally was about to die because I couldn't breathe as I didn't peel off the plastic beforehand. So I thought, "Oh so this is what they call beauty is pain." Couldn't take it any longer, I took the mask off, breathe in all the air in the world, then tried to read the instructions on the packaging "PEEL OFF THE PLASTIC LAYER" 😂 Felt so stupid I laughed my ass off!
My sister got one dumb plastic story too. She's been using this eyeshadow makeup kit for yearsssss. It's always a struggle to look at her face in the mirror attached to the makeup kit while putting on her makeup because the reflection was always cloudy, like toy mirror. She thought that's what you get when you're buying cheap stuff & the makeup kit is probably fake. One fine day, she was wiping off some eyeshadow stain on the sides of the mirror. It didn't come off, she tried harder. Wallah! She accidentally removed the mirror protective film & saw herself for the first time in forever!

I want to have even 10% of Paniel's mindset. I get anxious and sometimes cry out of nowhere at night if I'm just laying on my bed, waiting to fall asleep. Coz I overthink about death a lot, how I'm insignficant and how my life does not actually matter. I won't be alive one day, neither would my friends and family. I need to listen to podcasts at night because of it.

About the story 15mins in, pretty sure it comes down to ‘ignorance is bliss’
As someone with food sensitivities due to unbearable scent particularly in fruits and vegs, this was so interesting to hear I’ve been defending my whole life about what smells so bad and to hear stuff that I can’t stand being in the same room without throwing up, described as not having any scent made me realise I wasn’t just being gaslit about the scent not being there for others, but others act like I’m acting up and making stuff up to throw a fuss, I can’t eat most fruits bc of its scent I can’t even get near most without needing to throw up, someone tried to feed me as a kid while having my nose closed and my eyes started watering up and choking cause both the smell and taste felt like exploded in my mouth, I know my sense of smell is exact to the way my tongue would taste even without ever eating but people including doctors never believed, anyways it was just interesting to see foods I won’t go near being described as scentless it just triggered me how people would tell me that my whole life even though I know what my senses does to me I can’t picture any fruit that is scentless maybe slightly less scented depending on how ripe or open the fruit is but generally most fruits have me throwing up, esp watermelons i could smell that an entire floor away without ever knowing someone has it around, but interestingly I’m fine with blueberries fresh blueberries does have a scent but generally if I’m not keeping it too close to my nose I’m fine with eating it without paying attention, if I don’t pay attention I don’t notice the smell at all I would almost call it scentless or it’s not invasively bothersome
