I love the character and charm of 1970s houses! Lots to like in this one, especially the beautifully aged pine doors on the kitchen cupboards and throughout the home. It's always a shame to see any kind of damage done to a home, but thankfully this one was spared for the most part. We really appreciate you sharing these explores with us and always thoroughly enjoying watching! Thanks James. You rock! 👍
Ya, this one had a lot to offer and I am glad it stayed in relatively good shape until I got there. Glad you two enjoyed it and thanks very much for your comment! !
Wow man, you always find THE BEST houses!! I live in Charlotte, NC and I had no idea the nice, big, old houses that exist in Canada (until I found your channel). I always think about how COLD it gets up there (up yonder, lol), but y'all seem to really take such pride in making your homes look & feel so WARM, so I'm glad for that. It hits below 40 Fahrenheit here, & I only go outside fully dressed in winter coat, scarf, toboggan (tuke? hat) & gloves. Stay warm up there, my kind Northern neighbor!! And thanks for the great vids!!❤
Yes some of our homes are big for sure. While some parts of Canada do get very cold, I live in one of the warmest parts of the country but it still gets colder than I would like. 😆 But there are many areas of the US that get way colder than it does in my area. As for North Carolina, it is probably warmer than all of Canada! 😆 Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks a lot for your comment!!
Loved the wood in the house ❤ No way could I have any of that wallpaper ever lol🥺 In it's time the house was considered nice for sure, great house for a family. Thanks for your time and the video I really enjoyed it. Georgia Fan
Agree completely, all that wood was amazing and I wasn't a fan at all of the wallpaper. 😂 Glad you enjoyed it and thank you very much for your comment!!
When I was in my 20s I lived in an old warehouse, and my neighbor had one of those old Kelvinators. He actually took out all the shelves, installed a beer tap on the side, and used it as a keg fridge. We'd all chip in on a keg of beer every so often, and just go to his place with a pitcher whenever we wanted to get some beer. Also, that turquoise and purple (green with purple in the kitchen as well) is very 90s. It reminds me of the generic designs on some of the old paper cups from the same era.
Oh that's pretty cool and a very creative use for an old refrigerator. I remember those paper cups, I have seen a handful of the dispensers in abandoned homes in the bathrooms. Thank you very much for your comment!!
I love that house. I really like the wall paper in the kitchen. The cabinets are made of real wood which is so pretty. When I got married 53 years ago we had a frig just like that frig and I had to defrost it once a month. I hated it!
All the wood in this place was pretty amazing, especially those hand hewn beams. Oh boy, can't imagine having to defrost a fridge every month, that would be brutal. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks very much for your comment!!
Could you do another comedy skit when the video starts and captures you sleeping and you get woken up? The retirement lodge skit is of my favorite you made.
I'll see what I can do, it has to be a pretty clean place though because I don't want to bring bed bugs home! 😂 Thank you very much for your comment!! Oh and the video before this one has a slightly comedic intro to it, in case you missed it
I didn't really find the basement creepy, just didn't like the low ceiling and all that mold. 😆 Really glad you enjoyed it and thanks very much for your comment!!
Thanks for sharing this video with me James i really enjoyed it keep up the good work you are doing my friend i gave you a thumbs up and shared you out on my community tab and God Bless.
Sorry I had to miss the premiere 😞. Just finished watching the video now. I love that staircase!!!! So much beautiful wood too!!❤. The wallpaper was a little busy😂. The kitchen with all those wood cabnets!!❤️❤️. I could live there!! The fireplace kinda grew on me after you closed the wood doors❤️. Your still shots are always amazing to me!!❤. Be safe and have a very Merry Christmas!!❤️❤️ Pam❤️❤️
That's alright Pam, there will be more premieres. I agree, the wood in this place was amazing! And yes, that fireplace kind of grew on me too once I saw it again while editing. Really glad you enjoyed it. Merry Christmas to you too and thanks as always for your comment!!

@@fawnfredenburg5361 Hi Fawn. Hope that you are doing well my friend. We are doing good here. I hope that you are staying warm, as we are. Not much new here. Getting ready for the holidays, my favorite time of year and Thanksgiving. Just don't care for the extremely cold temps, but it could be worse. They are calling for snow tomorrow up to 2" inches here, we will see. I'll talk to ya later my friend. Much love and stay blessed. Happy Holidays!🥰🤗😘😻😽❤🙏🦋🎅🤶🕊🐻❄🦌❄☃⛄🌨🎄
Very nice house, I liked both kitchens, the big rooms, staircase and the nice long deep tub. I didn't care for all the wallpaper though. By the way Merry Christmas!
Thanks for the cool video James. This sure was a neat one. Love the old furniture, sure is an epic of a find. Thank again James. Much love and stay blessed. Happy Holidays!🥰🤗✌👍🙏🎄❄☃⛄
Hello Lisa Ruley 👋I hope you and Snoopy are doing well ❤️I’m doing good here 🥰I’m so ready for Christmas next week and yes we got snow coming our way too in Indiana 😁I miss talking to you my friend 😊I will talk to later my friend 😍Enjoy the rest of your evening 🎄🕯️🎅🎁🦌⭐️☃️💫✨
@@fawnfredenburg5361 Thanks Fawn. I'm so sad right now. Just found out that one of the stray kittens we been feeding, just got ran over🙏🙏💔💔😭😡😠!!!! Last time I seen them they were cuddled with mom this morning on our back porch where we have food, warn water and a bin with a hole so they can go in and out of when they please with bedding. They weren't real little but still, somebody still could of slowed down to avoid hitting her, unless they didn't see her. Now we got a kitten without a brother or sister. You know me I'm a pet lover, it hurts that this happened. Glad that we keep Snoopy indoors!! Much love Fawn❤😻
So I didn't really forget but I did forget where it was. 😂 This was before I marked down locations I found on a map immediately after finding them. Thanks very much for your comment!!
You know, if it were good wallpaper, I would be ok with it. 😆 Agreed about the fridge, you don't see one like that very often anymore! Glad you liked it Kimmy and thanks a lot for your comment!!
Ok, i missed you guessing that was a 70s fridge. Hell no, that's at least 60s (and there's a good chance it might be even earlier; the tell-tale is the curvy exterior...by the 70s they were 'boxy'). I think you were right about the wallpaper being early 90s though, because Hunter green & the pine finishes were very popular during that time. The warm pine colour looks great paired with the dark green in the living room, but i hated the fireplace. Too grey and flat (you know how the 'wicker house' had pink stones and sparkles in the rocks? that fireplace would work in this house!). I think the Mrs had nice colour/wallpaper game upstairs too, but the staircase area only needed 1 or 2 walls with that paper because it was too busy!! I'd give the house a 9/10 rating with the point reduction for the kinda creepy basement, bathroom with no sink, grey upstairs bath (yuck), and the fireplace being way too fireplacey! 😂 Thanks for hanging out in the premiere and telling us a little bit about it, that's always fun! Have a great night! 😊
Ya, I said 70s for the fridge since that's when the house was built but you are right. I also mentioned 60s in the live chat but it could even be late 50s I suppose. I kind of like that fireplace,, it just doesn't blend with the rest of the house too well. Completely agree about the missing sink in the bathroom...what were they thinking! 😂 Glad you enjoyed it Carrie and thanks a lot for your comment!!

That fridge looks like it’s pre 1956 with the handle that locks. They changed the design after kids kept getting themselves locked inside
You certainly could be right. That's brutal if kids got themselves locked in there, would be very scary! Thank you very much for your comment!!
Gorgeous eyes😍😍😍

Is the sound breaking up on anybody else’s screening or is it just me?
It happened to a few people during the premiere but no everyone. Hopefully it is fixed now!?
